5SOS has Long outlasted One Direction! Each of them has a unique and beautiful voice and they produce incredible harmonies. It can be very hard hitting. Saw them live in July and one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen. Ashton on drums also it has one of the most incredible voices. Not a manufactured band. Just released their fifth album title 5sos5 all produced by Michael! This song is one of my favorites written by Michael and referred to as “Mikey’s song“. Dive deep😂. You’ll love songs called “Young blood”, “ghost of you”,“Take my hand” etc. enjoyed your first intro and reaction!!❤❤❤
I'd say 5sos are one of the most diverse bands I know. They really evolved with each other and the sound really changes between the albums or even between songs off of the same album. Important to note maybe, they are first and foremost a live band, always prided themselves on that and it's what they want to be known for, so the live versions will almost always be better, but they also have really cool music videos. Great reaction you guys, I'd love to see you react to more
5SOS have been around for over 10 years at this point and they are one of these bands that change their genre and style a lot, it has been great seeing them grow throughout the years. Luke (lead singer) and Ashton (drummer) also released their solo albums in 2020/2021 while the band was on a break because of quarantine but they're all now back with a 5th album. A lot of people have given great recommendations but I wanted to add Bad Omens live from the Royal Albert Hall to that. It's a new song, performed live with an orchestra and choir and it's truly beautiful, you guys would love it! The thing with 5SOS is that they started as a live band and that's when they truly shine, they're incredible live so I would suggest listening to more live performances by them! Great video and sorry for the long comment lol
I knew the 1D fans would get around to 5SOS & you would like them. Most 1D fans are 5SOS fans too. You will probably like anything from them. You’d probably like the drummer’s solo stuff too.
Jet Black Heart is from their second album Sounds Good Feels Good. Their second and first album (self-titled) are more pop-punk oriented. I'd say their 3 more recent album are more alt-pop/pop-rock oriented. Yes, they like to play with genres and experiment a lot. I'd recommend Youngblood and Ghost Of You (you can watch the live version from this show). I also think you'll like Teeth & Easier Live From The Vault. 5SOS are a live band so I'd recommend watching as much live and acoustic performances as you can, and maybe some covers. Speaking of covers, I think you'll like their cover of "I Miss You' by Blink-182, "Drown" by Bring Me The Horizon and "American Idiot" by Green Day. Can't wait for more 5SOS reactions, enjoy your journey, they are incredible artists!!
I highly recommend the Live From The Vault versions, though I think they are best enjoyed when compared to the studio versions of those songs because you can really hear how much the arrangement and sound mixing changes. I also think the performances from their 10 year anniversary show (as this one is) are really fun as well, since they play a lot of the songs differently from their studio versions or how they used to perform those songs & you can really hear the progression they've made in their instrumental and vocal abilities. I always enjoy being able to watch artists grow and because their careers started when they were so young, there's a lot of opportunities to witness that with this band.
They play everything, the first albums were more pop punk and then on the third album they went to pop rock and on this last album they came up with a whole new album sound compared to the other works.
Definitely check out more of 5SOS. They are incredible! They are one of these rare cases that usually sound even better live, so I would recommend checking out Teeth and Easier from the vault, Youngblood and Ghost of You from their 10th anniversary, a cover of No Roots to hear Ashton (drummer) sing and definitely their new song Bad Omens from Royal Albert Hall with choir and orchestra. But there is so much more! Their discography and sound are really diverse, and I must say I enjoy most of their discography.
this song is one of the few with another member as a lead singer. usually luke(the one in the centre) is the singer but this song is very personal to michael(lead guitarist) and written with calum(bassist).
Yes 5SOS is so good, they definitely evolved from being more pop punk inspired to more pop rock. The drummer does sing but not as much in live performances when he's drumming since it's hard to do both at once. But sometimes he does sing and play at the same time also.
The drummer (Ashton) does sing just not as often. We hear him more in their new album where everyone sorta gets their own song, but Luke is the lead singer 😁
you should react to their new song, bad omens live from the royal Albert hall where they played with an orchestra. Bad omens is from their new album 5SOS5. Their style has changed a lot, and they are a very genre-less band and has something for everyone. They are always trying new things so they have a ton of different sounds. would love for you guys to check out more of their music and performances because I think you'll end up really liking them :)
They're way way more than just 1D's opening act and their own journey is pretty interesting. I try to avoid getting too much into this band (just because I have no time to "stan" one more amazing artist/band lol). I love their recent works though and their live sound evolved a lot since the time they toured with 1D)) Also, Ashton and Luke released solo albums during the pandemic, when the band had to take a pause. Luke's album is amazing and it reminds me of Harry's Fine Line a lot. A masterpiec, tbh. Very talented guys, I hope you won't be disappointed with the suggestions fans will give you, thank you the reaction!
it doesn't all sound the exact same, they are constantly change their sound while still having that 5sos feel that makes a song a 5sos song, they've been together for +10 years now so they obviously did grow as individuals and as a band and you can definitely hear it in their music
No shame live from the 10 year anniversary you will definitely enjoy. More live from the album youngblood. Youngblood from youngblood, wildflower from CALM, complete mess from their new album. These are songs you guys would enjoy. They started being a pop rock band, but currently they are kinda genre-less and try everything out making just incredible music.
Please, more 5SOS!! Teeth or Easier Live from the vault would be great. Or youngblood that is their biggest song. Or their latest release: bad omens from 5SOS5. Thanks!! :)
5SOS has a lot of very different songs, they play a lot with music and their albums sound always a bit different. They evolved so much since they started and you guys should listen to songs from their last album released last month '5SOS5': they produced and wrote 90% of the album and it is SO SO good. These guys are so talented, really. They deserve more recognition from the music industry. I really recommend 'Easier' and 'Teeth' Live from the Vault, this is pure gold.
If you like this the two albums that I would suggest you two focus on first are Sounds Good Feels Good (2015 and their second album which this song was from) and Youngblood (2018 and their third album). They definitely have evolved quite a bit and over the years have had many different genres. In their discography you can find punk, rock, pop but also trap and much more I don't really know the genre of (I am terrible at genres) If you do want to listen to them I personally think album-reactions are the way to go, especially for Sounds Good Feels Good. I would also always suggest going in some sort of order (excluding the Debüt-Album). Because you already said you wanted more of Jet Black Heart I would suggest doing "Sounds Good, Feels Good", "Youngblood", "CALM" and at last "5SOS5"
I'm gonna ask "Easier (live from the vault)" and not like a reaction, just put the song and enjoy. Until 2 years ago I thought 1D was just pretty boys without talent and my friends and the rest of the girls my age were a crazy fangirls (obviously a mistake) I was the "weird girl" listening Iron maiden, slipknot and metalcore. To me "5SOS" was my way to belong girls my age. They are more like rock, punk, pop-rock, etc. I enjoy 1D music 'cause "collateral effect" listening Louis and Harry, but I really really enjoy 5SOS 'cause who they are. I think you gonna like this band. Even if is not like a reaction, listen their music.

They just released their 5th album. Started at 16 yrs old so they have evolved with each album.
Hi Meg!!
Ashton (the drummer) also sings just not in every song, he even has his own album he released in 2020 while in the band

Yes, drumer (ashton) also sings and even has a solo album and the lead vocalist luke has one too :)
one of my favorite bands im so glad you guys are delving into them i was not expecting it!
They play everything, the first albums were more pop punk and then on the third album they went to pop rock and on this last album they came up with a whole new album sound compared to the other works.

Great reaction. Shoutout to Rachel with the great background
During their most recent tour, the drummer had a whole drum solo Red Desert/Supernova, and I definitely think you should check that out!
The drummer (Ashton) does sing just not as often. We hear him more in their new album where everyone sorta gets their own song, but Luke is the lead singer 😁
I somehow missed this 10 months ago, but I gotta say it’s pretty darn funny watching it now, especially as you just saw them in concert.. 😆
❤️❤️🤘🤘

yes calum is wearing a kilt! because of his Scottish heritidge im sure he'd be happy you didnt just call it a skirt
Nathan is part Scottish

Honestly if you want to hear the drummer, you should react to their No Roots cover in the Live Lounge. One of my favorite performances of theirs
Yes! The bassist is wearing a kilt, he's half scottish half maori
Please, more 5SOS!! Teeth or Easier Live from the vault would be great. Or youngblood that is their biggest song. Or their latest release: bad omens from 5SOS5. Thanks!! :)
React to "bad omens live" from late night with seth meyers! It's a new song from their fifth studio album that they released last week.
omg please more reaction of 5SOS !!!

Teeth or easier, but not the studio versions. They both have versions ‘live from the vault’ of these two songs. ❤
No Shame, teeth I think you will like it
YES

Loved the video! Could you please react to 5 Seconds of Summer: Teeth Live from the Vault? :)
Please react much more to 5SOS! Especially you can check out Who Do You Love live performance by 5SOS and The Chainsmokers!
Please watch Teeth and Complete mess
Please react to more 5sos!!!
