I hope Mark never stops talking about his comedy. I really want to do stand up and I found this was not only fascinating but super helpful. Thank you for being a comedy nerd like me Mark. Also thank you for the interview Sean and Kevin Hart, praise Allah!!

As an open mic comic, who is really just starting out, after Writing off and on for five years before hitting the Open Mic in November, I find all of this extremely informative and helpful. And I’ve come to appreciate Mark Normand’s Comedy style more in the past year. Thank you for doing this.

This is huge! So helpful and inspiring to actually watch a writing session. Thanks for making this and thanks Mark! This video is like mental nutrition for amateur comics. There can never be enough reminders that comedy writing is a grind. A fun grind, but it ain't pretty.

Subscribed. You put a lot of work into the video and it shows. Invest in lighting and audio equipment.

Normand couldn't be more wrong. This is exactly what people want. A glimpse into the mind of one of the weirdest fuckers ever? Yes please

Just half through and I love this! Super helpful. Idk if this will be mentioned cuz Im half way through but I got a funny comparison pop up in my mind to the chili joke. Or I think.
How we used to demonize one plant that is such a medical wunder care and made it illegal but the other one free to buy and grow while it can be used as a biological weapon like in pepperspray and etc. Something like that, not the best to explain that but I hope u get the jist haha🤙😅

I came from Mark's channel to say this actually is really interesting and entertaining to comedy fans as well, really great content. My only feedback would be to not worry about all of the editing because you'll save yourself time in post and it will benefit from the rawness.

In response to what Mark said about walking and pacing while he’s writing, I’ve actually come up with some of my best bits while walking on trails in the park near where I live. Or walking along the beach. Yeah I’m doing that in cold weather. Here in Long Island. Less distracting when there’s hardly anybody else around. Whatever works, right?

Love the idea of this. Would be fascinating to see how the joke evolves each time they do it live. From writing all the way to the special

Just watched this on Marks channel. Great content. Keep this up. The deep dive on how he writes and what he thinks about comedy is incredible. And watching him go from a simple idea to trying it twice is priceless.

Mark’s bit about the politically incorrect speakeasy is one of my favorite bits of his. Always makes me chuckle.
