@@levicummins7317 I prefer rechargeable lights. That way with solar power bricks and solar panels you can have light forever. I also prefer red dots with Shake awake and auto off, the batteries last a eons. And they are tiny
@Valorius batteries have finite life cycles even when properly stored. Shake awake is just another thing to break/go wrong. Solar panels are good until you don't know how to repair them. The knowledge and skills to create motion generators would probably e superior.
@@TexasSurplusPro there are many many scenarios, in fact I would say the overwhelming majority of them, where you would want armor but you would not want to look like you were wearing armor. I've been in some of those situations. And you can always drop a 6x8 level 4 trauma plate in your 3A armor as needed. That said, nothing wrong with also having a plate carrier if you have the funds
@@Valorius If I had to do it again, I'd probably get a slick carrier for these purposes. From personal experience, any “budget” or non-custom armor is horribly uncomfortable for long periods. I'd also submit that the current threats out there necessitate rifle-rated armor. I'll expand further when I drop that video. This isn't to say soft armor doesn't have a place, it certainly does.
@@TexasSurplusPro I certainly agree that there are some scenarios where you would want rifle armor, but personally I am a 3+ guy. When it comes to concealment armor I find that as long as it has a ventilated/slash breathable inner mesh, you'll be in good shape. That is by far the single most important factor for concealment armor to me. For a plate carrier there are more things to consider and I agree with you there.
@@TexasSurplusPro I think for real people on a real budget, good concealment armor with trauma Pockets that will take 6 by 8 rifle plates is a really good medium ground. That's exactly the setup I keep in my vehicle.
I disagree with the night vision, how many people have medical supplies, food and water? Batteries? Good pack? Ballistic helmet? You can spend that 3k alot more wisely.
@@TexasSurplusPro I say gold and silver because it is extremely easy to liquidate at any pawn or coin shop, and there are no taxes when you sell it. Unlike stocks bonds, Etc. Just to clarify I am talking about physical gold
Battery’s for those red dot/night vision/lights it takes a lot of resources to make those batteries
Great point and much of those resources are imported and shipped around the world to be refined!

Awesome Video Salute 🫡
I would say some good 3A concealment armor should be at the top of everyone's list
I'd go further and suggest level four plates. I'll be making a video about this soon.

The boomer vest at the range explains everything.
Add a thermal scope to the list.
Gettin me some PVS-14s , with a 6x magnifier , probably next week
Thanks for the video !
Heck yes! What brand and company you going through?
@@TexasSurplusPro Not sure yet , I've looked at opticsworld, and a couple more , if you have a suggestion I'm lisetening !
Head gear, helmets 🪖
Absolutely should have a helmet, one that is the equivalent of IIIA, and one you can mount night vision on.
Thermal>nods
For a lot of applications I'd agree.
I am in the category of thinking, anything electronic can fail and break, but ammo and magazines are a good choice.

Ditch all your cash and buy gold or silver. I would say the same thing for crypto too: ditch that too.
A diversified plan would be a good idea imo. Gold and silver do seem to historically hold their value…

Stack your ammo deep! Shit storm is coming!
