Well, I trolled the Internet for a decent axe at sensible money. I looked at the construction, especially how the axe head fits to the handle, also the shape of the blade. I bought two Adler axes this morning online and to be honest I couldn't find a better made axe for the money anywhere.

Alright, I think I’ll get an Adler axe and see how they do. They seem well priced here in France and I like traditional, family production. Cheers

@@davidnelson4193 Not bad. Good orientation, fine profile overall. I thinned it and sharpened, and thinned the handle which I did on the Ochsenkopf as well. Once you get it the way you like, it’s a fine tool.
