Yes, it's a natural expression, too. "Second," is a more correct or formal way to introduce the second point, but it's not wrong to say "secondly" and "second of all".
@@sstarrydiesel Dead english. I was stationed in Korea for over 5 years as a Navy pilot and saw how educators teach dead and wrong grammar English to their kids.. Some of the text books are joke. Teach English if that is your job, and not Korean version of English. 😅🤣😂
@@ohlsenjulian3288While 'second of all' may not be technically correct, some native speakers and writers still use this expression. Even if it's not correct for some people, we can't say it's dead English.💁🏼♀️
@@sstarrydiesel Koreans tend to change their grammar and even some of their words, but they think their outdated English is okay because some of them uses it? If u use the words u are describing is okay in SAT you will be screwed. Know your mistake and change it rather than ignoring it out of lazieness. I am American who went through higher education in Columbia Univ, and Native speaker, before joining the Navy as a pilot. Would it justify it if an American makes the same comment about Korean and argues that he or she knows better. To me this is a joke.
@@ohlsenjulian3288Hey, just to clarify, this isn't an SAT test; she's simply sharing some TOEFL tips and explaining how to prepare in just 15 seconds. She mentioned that it's not strictly graded for grammar due to the limited time. Why are you even watching this TOEFL clip and complaining about Korea's English education specifically? Bragging about education in the comments... seriously, is this a joke? As a 'Columbia University' graduate, isn't it a waste of your time? Before criticizing Korea's education system, maybe focus on your own grammar. Using 'u' instead of 'you' out of laziness isn't the right way to go. And please, the phrase 'second of all' is not exclusive to Korean or any specific language! It's a colloquial expression used in spoken English to introduce the second point in a discussion. While it may not strictly follow formal grammar rules, it's widely used in casual conversations and informal writing. Language often includes informal expressions that may not strictly adhere to logic but are widely accepted in everyday communication.
