Hi I have a question. Is it necessary to buy the clarifying shampoo? I only bought the oil treatment and the terminator comb.

Shampooing out the Oil Treatment does require a little effort; the product is quite thick. But no, you don't need to use the Clarifying Shampoo. You can also use your own clarifying shampoo if you have one. Dawn dish soap works well for removing the product, or you can just use your own general shampoo. You may just find you need to shampoo a few times to remove all of the Oil Treatment.

Can I use conditioner after shampooing the dimethicone out?

      Yes!
We get this question a lot, because traditional lice treatments ask that you not shampoo or condition your hair after treatment. The reason that is is because most over the counter treatments are pesticides. They act much like a yard fogger might. You put that product in the hair in the hopes it kills the bugs that are in the hair at that moment, but also kills bugs that might hatch, in the following days, out of any eggs that might remain in the hair.
Oil Treatment is different. It isn’t a pesticide. You’re putting it in the hair to clog up the breathing holes on any lice that are in the hair at that moment. Once it’s done its job, you can just shampoo the product out completely, condition if you like, and then wait until it’s time to do your follow up application(s).
