I’m not a fan of Kentucky or Calipari but I don’t think the criticisms of Cal are all that fair. Most of the time you will not get consistent play from freshmen no matter how talented they are. I think does good job in development and as a game coach. It’s rare to get the kind of maturity needed to step up in these situations. If you’re going to fault anything its the one and done model.
You must be thinking of a different sport. When you recruit half of the McDonald's All Americans every year and get beat before sweet 16 it's telling about your ability to coach. Talent in basketball is very important.
