To be honest, I was born and brought up in a small town called Haflong in Assam. But few years back, my parents decided to relocate to Kolkata for better medical facilities. And now, this is home. Since they have shipped everything from my ancestral home to here in Kol. It’s easier to visit them now, then before where I had to change many means to reach home. Home is where heart is, is indeed true. Home is where my parents live. 🙂

Hi @Diya. Been following your content for very long and find it very soothing. Keep it up :) Since I am from Bihar and also an artist, just wanted to rectify that the prints you had shown on your sarees were not madhubani....that is Warli art.
These sarees are cotton ones made on a power loom, Diya. Handloom made sarees cannot be massed produced as artisans knit them painstakingly for days.
So much fish

I'm gonna plan next for 2 to 3 days at my mom's place, will invite my sister too, we both will give the best to our mom. Thank you so much for this vedio. I'm sharing this to my sister, I'm sure she will be happy and she will relate to it. Love you Diya

Very nicely made. Very relatable for a Bengali woman who lives away from home. Could relate to it so much!
Such a beautiful video.. I knew kolkata is famous for fish.. but only from this video got to know how much fish is been included in every meal.. nice to see
Thank you Diya for the ❤️
Wow this was like one complete nostalgic trip down memory lane for me.....the calcutta street food is something we can get nowhere else. Each street food you shared is like a childhood emotion
I almost ran down the memory lane. I am also from Behala and currently living in Bangalore. It was a wonderful video.
Wow such a beautiful video... I was smiling all through since I felt I was living in the moment. I felt like I went back home. Being a bengali, I can relate to the emotion attached to each food item that was cooked at your moms home. My mouth was watering since I exactly knew how they taste delicious. The house help cooked each food with appropriate amount of oil and masala, hard to find these days.
I have watched this many times for now 😊 I love ur culture
