[corrections welcome] stand up soon (son?), dry your tears i've sentenced you in prison for ninety-nine years you can sentence me at the laws' command only god can judge the soul of a man shout, mourner! you shall be free shout, mourner! you shall be free when the good lord sets you free dear little sister don't you cry we'll all be together in the by and by when the road gets rocky (?) don't be sad just remember the brother that you once had shout, mourner! you shall be free shout, mourner! you shall be free when the good lord sets you free
That riff you play at 2:20 sounds a lot like shout little lulie. I also noticed the cute little bird at 2:04. Do you have a CD? Perhaps even a digital download? I prefer CDs, but I know that's money.
I think that Shout Little Lulie, Shout Mourner, Hook and Line, and Ida Red are all somewhat related. I don't have anything with this particular song on it, but I do have an 11 song CD that I made several years ago that includes some songs with fiddle, and some with banjo. These are available for $10, and I'd be happy to send you one of these. There is a PayPal button on the banner for my channel. I will keep everyone updated about any plans to record anything in the future. Thanks!
I'm seeing two albums available on band camp, are either of them available physically? I ask because you are quoting me a price of $10, and band camp is saying $7. Just wanted to make sure what format I'm paying for. Thanks in advance, and sorry for the delay in responding, I don't get RUclips sent to my email anymore because I was getting so many notifications from it. I'll check back on this video, though. Alternately, you can email me at spragues2828@gmail.com at your convenience :-) Thanks for keeping up the tradition, all my best. Kegan
Hi Kegan, the digital downloads are available through bandcamp for $7. If you would prefer a physical copy, I would be happy to mail you one for $10. There are only physical copies for the self titled album. Thanks!
Keep coming back to this. I understand it just a bit better after years of playing the banjo. Just glorious.
This is freaking amazing! I LOVE IT! You really bring old folk back to the present.
Killer playing and singing, Zac! Love it!
Damn, this is such a killer version. I’ve been listening on repeat.
Really fine indeed! Your voice is timeless, and reminds me of Doc Watson crossed with Clarence Ashley🤘🎶
Very good,mr.falcon,laugh...your playing has the spirit.
