  • I have been busy for a couple of days and here are the results.
    The passing loop has been completed with a bit more clearance of the overhanging roots required for the loco to pass in reverse due to the loco's slight lean!
    Next onto the turntable.

    I’m pleased you decided to make the passing loop big enough for two coaches, I think you might of regretted it if you hadn’t.
    Get well soon.

      Thanks mate! Yeah I was relieved it worked as originally planned. I will definitely have to do more trimming to get the loco round facing the other way as it leans on the side of the seat.

    Great job sorting out that sharp turn at the end of the passing loop!

      Thanks Stan - it should have been obvious after the same issue on the other set of points but I never learn. I was convinced the gauge was ok but tightening it about 2 mil did the trick.

    Found your channel a few episodes ago, I love the setting and how you managed to squeeze in the railway to such a challenging terrain. But it all looks good and runs superb. The line is on the top or the bottom of your railway?

    • @Elvinley
      @Elvinley  Год назад

      Thanks so much! The line is at the top end, near the drive entrance. There is a track plan at the start of the last vid to make it easier to understand.

      Thanks a lot Marc! Hope so - it is being made to be very heavy duty as the loco is very heavy indeed.

      @@Elvinley I can imagine those scamps look heavy as well as your battery one and I'm not gonna mention the live steam one lol

      @@marcmurrell8827 Yes all pretty weighty! The Scamp is the lightest of the three and the steam the heaviest.

    have you considered getting a tinkerbell or is Elizabeth more suitable?

      Thanks a lot. I have been working on the turntable today even though I feel ill - very silly! I'd love a Tinkerbell but it is way beyond what I could afford.

    Absolutely superb, great effort as always, I find your videos so educational and inspirational, pointwork is not an easy thing to put together in any scale and you manage to resolve any running issues pretty quickly. Looking forward to the next episode, take care and hope you feel better soon.

    Will the sleepers treatment be sufficient only from the top? Or were they treated with some tar oil from all the sides before installation?
    This video is extraordinarily quiet, I am worried for my ears when the ads start 😬

    • @Elvinley
      @Elvinley  Год назад

      Oh no not ads! Yes I try to keep the levels quite low and as even as poss but yes that is an issue. The sleepers have mainly been soaked but not all. They are easy to replace with pallet wood. BTW I hope they don't put ads in the middle. My channel isn't monetised.
