That's amazing that such a young RUclips channel can give things away. While I have most, count me in for the small hole gauges.... This antique lathe is consuming my "wife acceptable" expenses for my home shop.

Hi Mike, auction buys can be good, lest see what you received here. We do not need a prize for watching your nice father and son video, you both are really nice.
We know Jim and we too enjoy (best) the Slop in the Shop, we have the medicine bottle one (pair of micro machinists here) and enjoy having it for our mill.
We have never seen that star bit rotating holder. You tow did real well for your shop it is really nice to get a break when you are making parts, saving some money and getting through to the finish line in business, it is tough enough as it is.
The LaSquare looks really nice especially since they are made in the USA. The Mighty Mags USA look great. Thank you for the share, Lance & Patrick.

Love those auction deals where you get the "extras", especially when it's something you were planning on buying anyways! Seems more and more auctions in my area are going to a timed online-only format now, nowhere near as much fun as a live auction and not as good of deals!

    Mike and The Old Man,
I’ve enjoyed your videos from almost the beginning of your channel. I’m a hobby “machinist?” Or rather more of a tinkerer. I used to do woodworking and have built fine furniture and reproduction antiques over the years. I also build custom acoustic guitars, or at least I did before I bought a metal lathe in order to make custom parts and luthier tools. Since that first touch of the cutter on steel I haven’t made a single shaving just chips. I do want to enter your drawing as I do not have the tools you are generously offering. I assure you they will be put to good use in my shop.

Awesome auction scores guys, you forgot to show us the cabinet though. Look forward to all your new videos as they come out, Its nice to see things from the small shop perspective. Its inspirational to watch and learn from you guys and I love to see you have a passion for what your doing. Thanks for sharing!

Cool seeing your auction winning. I went to one today and there were people there to resell the tools they won. It is bad for the hobbyists and other trying to get in the trades to get good stuff when they drive up the prices. Also good video

Yes some days its hard to get good deals. Iv also been on the tail end on not having a big enough wallet to keep up with some of the bigger shops. But some times you can find a good deal so dont give up. Looking is half the fun. -Mike

I love your channel. Been subscribed since the first video I saw. You guys come across really humble and I enjoy the down to earth content. I've been a machinist by trade for 8 years and I recently started to build up my own machine shop. Started out with a small grizzly lathe and recently purchased a used grizzly mill. Tooling is extremely expensive on my single income with a family and I would be extremely grateful to own one of your give aways. Wish you guys the best of luck in the future!

I think I just made it. 5:03 MST March 17. I like the format that you guys have and I am trying to start a small shop in my garage so any ideas that you give is helpful. I am a pastor now but years ago I worked as a machinist and cant get it out of my blood.

    • @MamcoMachining

Welcome to the channel. There is a really good article in the February / March issue of Machinist Workshop magazine titled The saga of the Machine Shop Bus. The article is about a pastor who had a machine shop in a retrofitted 1965 Ford school bus. He was able to move all of his equipment as he moved. If you haven"t seen it you should check it out. When you mentioned being a pastor and machinist I instantly remembered the article. Again thank you for watching. The Ole Man

Great video, Have you guys heard of Genuine Metal Works? He makes different size squares from 4" - 8" I think.
Anyway they are also good for fab work and work well with a fab table with 5/8" holes I believe.
