Hello! Yes, a good alternative is a wig grip. They have lots of different kinds. Silicone ones are good for full wigs with no lace. These are good for ones with laces. No slip and has a little lace so it is undetectable in the parting area. amzn.to/44KVlrx

Wetting the unit down with water, applying conditioner, combing through, let it sit for 10 minutes rinse out.
