I usually stop the roast after the first crack ends and is the colour of your medium roast chart. I love it that way, I tried to go darker but I don't like.

Thanks for the comment Manuel. I see that you roast your own coffee. That's awesome. I suggest you try beans like Ethiopia to see how the flavor profiles change from cinnamon roast to medium or high roast, it'll be interesting.

Hi! Thanks for your educational video! I'm experimenting with cold brew recently and I heard that you should use "blonde" roast for that. Would that be cinnamon roast? What kind of roast would you recommend for cold brew? Love your channel, thanks a lot for your effort and detailed videos!!

Yeah, I guess blonde roasts refer to the lighter roasts, and that would probably mean cinnamon. Cold brew is a very interesting subject. The general idea is that it mellows down the aroma and strength of the coffee, giving it some elegance. Lots of roaster cafes enjoy preparing it with light roasts but dark roasts also work well, in the end it's your preference so just go with what you like ;)

@@HAMZACOFFEE Ah okay, good to know! Thanks for your answer! I also think that dark roasts work well for cold brew. I used an Italian roast and have to admit that it's a tad strong on it's own, but with a tiny bit of milk it's perfect!

Is this based on the temperature of the roasting or it doesn't matter? Let's say can i roast medium roast on 220C and medium roast on 230C . Is this a critical thing to know or it doesn't matters much ?
    Thanks for sharing
