Doug on ”The Cable Guy”: ”If you don't like this movie you haven't had a friend like this.” I say, if you haven't had a friend like this, then you are the friend like this.
@@ryanlewand6963 Why? For making an obvious joke? No, we don't have friends like that bc when we get a friend like that, we tell them to screw off (in a nicer way) & if they don't, then we're rude about it
@ Signs was just LUCKY that it came out in a time where everyone was NUTS about Aliens and all that shit. Unbreakable sadly came out in a time where everyone saw Superhéroe movies as something dumb and childish, truly ahead of its time and a really unique take on the genre
People like it now. It wasn't popular when it came out since it wasn't what was being advertised, and doesn't really have a third act. Trailers being misleading is less important as time goes on, especially for movies that didn't find their audience in the first place.
If they just took out venom and saved him for 4 the movie would've been so much better. I like harry as the new goblin cause that's what's been built up from the last movie and seeing him in spiderman 3 was really cool and sandman was such an awesome character it's just venom was added and it made the movie too stuffed. Like it could've ended with harry and spiderman teaming up to defeat sandman instead of venom of sandman and ugggghhh. I liked how venom looked though I know everyone bitched about how he wasnt big and muscular but it didn't bother me just him being in the movie bothered me.
That's what I've always said as well; Sandman was awesome! I just think the movie tried to do way too much. And just don't do the fucking dancing scene... really... Why???
Honestly, i LOVE Atlantis I cant stop watching that movie. I loved it when i was little, and i LOVE IT MORE NOW The music and animation is outstanding, and the characters and ideas were so cool!!
ForeverMuffin although, when you watch it when you're older, you find a lot of plot holes. that aside, i still like it. i don't see why this is considered part of Disney's downfall.
well, i've watched it recently, being older and such, and i dont find that many problems with it XD but yeah, it's a rly cool movie and i dont get that either. For me it is one of the Disney movies with best soundtrack and animation (considering that it's not a musical, that's saying something for Disney standards XD haha) also i find it amazing how the side characters are all quite enjoyable. that doesn't happen often XD
Tal Modiano Fucking awesome profile pic, man. King Fucking Crimson! Amazing band. Epitaph is in my top three favorite songs of all time, and King Crimson is my third favorite band of all time.
SERIOUSLY, people don't like Prince Caspian? I read the books and I thought that the movie was very well done as it was well written and added a few new things that really made it more interesting.
I think it is cause its more dramatic and "darker". People just want to see Jim Carrey as a funny idiot who makes faces, not in a drama with a dark tone. But I like the movie a lot too, I think its hilarious.
fuck kyle Graham I agree completely. That was what, '96? If The Cable Guy had been released in 1999 or 2000 it would have been hailed as genius. Speculation, yes, but as a gen-x-er who was a young adult during that period, at least it's not blind speculation.
Totally with you on Hancock. Not perfect but I thought it was a really cool take on the superhero style of movies. Really disappointed there was no sequel. It made a lot of money from what I remember.
I love it, too. But this video was made in 2012, so it’s possible that the film has gained greater appreciation over the years, like Unbreakable or The Big Lebowski.
The only fans Adam Sandler has are people like me who would buy a ticket to his funeral just to finally get some goddamn closure on the decades of torment he put us through. The rest of you guys are too drunk, too young, too desensitized (or maybe all of the above) to understand how obnoxious he is even when he's "at his best". Adam Sandler needs to end. Retroactively.
@@plo617 Spider Man 3 is one of those fun but very flawed movies not because the writers idiots its because they were too Ambitious and it kinda back fired. If this movie was just about sandman and harry that would have been great, but no Sony wanted Venom to be put in but that's not what the director wanted so it got to cramped. It's still a fun mess.
Something I appreciate about Atlantis is that it's much more mature than modern Disney films with having a lot of death and times when it acknowledges those deaths. Like yeah it's still kid friendly but it's also mature when it needs to be.
@@shirubionicle Well 6 of one... When someone says decent, it might mean good. That is what I mean... I know splitting hairs... His films started to get artsie fartsie around Signs... I zoned out on that film.
@@spawncampe people don't like it cause they think all of M. Night Shyamalan movies are bad which means they're biased. I've seen Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs and The Village before i saw The Last Airbender (worst movie i've ever seen) just because Last Airbender was bad doesn't mean every single one of his movies were
arty shorts what’s it to you? If you haven’t seen the movie or didn’t watch the entire video than this doesn’t concern you, why comment even? It’s a huge misclassification, Cable Guy was a dark comedy but still a comedy.
One of my favorite movies is Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, but everyone else thinks it's the worst Tim Burton film, it's really not! Yeah it has a shit ton of flaws but it's a really enjoyable film. Johnny Depp can really sing, well atleast I think that. I know people didn't like how Helena Bonham Carter was too sweet, but I loved that direction of Mrs. Lovett's character. The directing was really good, I liked how the blood was made to contrast the dull colors. I thought it was a good film overall.
Well I wouldn't say Charlie is a horrible movie, it just doesn't hold a candle to the original. Pretty much everything besides the visual style is done better in Willy Wonka. And as the NC said in his old vs new review of the two films, the first bit wasn't really that bad. In fact, cut Depp out of the movie and it's not a bad movie at all. Just average and kinda boring at times. Johnny Depp was extremely obnoxious in this movie though not to mention apathetic towards the children who he's supposedly putting in charge of his factory.
Sam Raimi didn't want Venom in Spider-Man 3 but he was pressured by the publishers to put him in, so Sam Raimi just wrote him in but he already had enough of the plot ready that there wasn't much time for Eddie Brocks back story, and for me Venom was kinda boring but I liked the scene where the symbiote enters Eddie's body and then screams towards the screen.
My opinion often gets invalidated the moment I mention that I like the live-action grinch remake. Yes, that's right. I think it's a good movie. I think Jim Carrey gave a hilariously memorable performance. I think the overall set design and dialogue was very true to the Seuss-esque feel while still keeping modern storytelling and humor in it. I think they did a good job expanding on the original story to add depth to the characters which was never needed in past iterations. Some of the humor is crude and juvenile, but that's because the grinch is a crude and juvenile character. And it actually has lots of clever jokes mixed with the lowbrow stuff, making it a great family/kids movie. While Doug and others disagree, I truly believe that it gives genuine respect to the source material while still being its own thing, unlike The Cat in the Hat or other shit. I still watch it and the original every year with my family. It's really not a bad movie
I didn't hate the movie, but I didn't like it. For me, it just didn't have a good feel and was a little bit too stupid. I guess it kind of did what you'd expect for a live action feature film remake of the original, it's just that the way it tried to be more modern felt out of place for a dr. Suess story. (Just my opinion.)
Honestly, I was introduced to the live action Grinch before the original cartoon, and I still watch it every damn year. It's so bad but....somehow iconic.
The live action grinch is unironically my favourite Christmas movie! I just think it's sort of stupid but that actually works because the movie knows it's a bit ridiculous. Carrey's genius sarcastic lines and acting shows this perfectly - a movie that knows what it is to me is what makes it amazing :)
I really liked Man of Steel because it really was the first Superman movie break away from the Christopher Reeves version of Superman every non-mondern comic book fan seems to have in their heads about the character. Superman is a bad ass and this was the first movie to show that.
I like it too. I understand the reason 'it's not like the comicbook charachter', but then read the comics, or watch the old movies. At least something new (especially in the marvel age - where every movie is the same).
Um Superman Returns broke from the donner superman even though it's sort of a sequel to those films...That superman managed to be the boy-scout but also had to deal with coming back to the relationships of the people he had left behind for so long. Also menawhile the animated universe had and showed the true and real superman the whole time... All star superman, Superman Doomsday, The death of Superman, Justice League, Justice league unlimited, The adventures of Superman, Superman VS the elite etc. all are some of the best superman you can find or get, not only do they show what superman is and about, but also how superman feels about the idea of just killing a person instead of finding a better way... Man of steel turns superman from the boy-scout that reflects the american way to a emo brooding destructive machine who resents having to help or save people. Again there's nothing to Zack synder's superman...and now that they've established that he will kill, they had to go out of there way to write scenario's and situations to keep him from just doing that again... that's why superman doesn't kill, first becasue of the ethical and idealist reasons, but also becasue once you allow him to kill, why would he stop at one?
In Man of Steel, Superman didn't have an actual fight until the third act so most the movie is about his character and how he grows to become the "man of steel", not "Superman". I love the execution of his character and he wasn't a mindless killing machine. If you didn't like it, that is fine. But don't lie and make shit up. Also, the destruction and fighting has a purpose. You don't have to like the purpose or it's execution. You don't have to like anything.
My list: 10. The Big Green 9. We're the Millers 8. Rat Race 7. Robin Hood: Men in Tights 6. Dude, Where's My Car? 5. Fever Pitch 4. Armageddon 3. The World is Not Enough 2. Jersey Girl 1. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
My List: 1. Ghost in the Shell 2017 2. Spider-Man 3 3. Van Helsing 4. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides 5.Halloween 2007 6. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 7. Alvin and the Chipmunks 8. Red Dawn 2014 9. Suicide Squad 10. Phantom of the Opera 2004
Jim Carrey can do dramatic, what I've noticed is Adam Sandler makes a really good and really believable "man in love" character. He's not just some attractive actor who playing opposite another attractive actor, he looks like a normal guy. When he portrays love he can really sell it. I always always love seeing him in romantic films and I typically hate romance
Bringing back Tilda Swinton for that cameo in Prince Caspian was a great decision. That scene isn't in the book but I liked the way they worked the White Witch into the story. They didn't focus on her long enough for her to take over the movie but they gave her enough screen time to leave an impact. It's kind of like Darth Vader in Rogue One where they utilised the less is more technique and ensured that Vader would leave a massive impact with only a few minutes of screen time. They even brought Jadis (that's the White Witch's real name for those who don't know) back very briefly in Voyage of the Dawn Treader. That movie wasn't very well received compared to the other two movies, but her presence added a bit more depth to Edmund and showed that the White Witch is still in the back of his mind and still trying to influence him. A person's mind can be both their best friend and their worst enemy.
Helena Jes Starzak the interesting thing about Cable Guy is that when it came out people for the most part hated it because we weren’t used to seeing the usually upbeat Jim Carrey in such a dark and gloomy role. But NC was right whence pointed out that back then we thought his character was over the top but now in the social media age we know people like that exist.
I like Broken Arrow from 1996. I liked the story, the action, the music and the characters. It seems to get a lot of hate, which I get, the plot was kind of weak, and frankly scary. Bad guy steals nukes and threatens to use them in the US if they aren't paid a shit ton of money by the government, but I find it to be enjoyable. There is a love interest for the good guy, who is sometimes more useful than he is (she's a park ranger who's always giving him her gun) she kills a couple of bad guys, manages to separate the train cars to keep the nuke away from Denver, where they're headed, and in the beginning finds Riley Hale and helps him after he's stranded in a Utah desert when Deke (bad guy) crashes their B3 bomber after releasing the nukes. Fun 90s B movie.
It's so bad it's funny but not good it's actually more entertaining then some of the blander ones in the middle especially Forever not as much as Returns.
Kind of annoys me that he uses the excuse that a movie is unoriginal all the time. Many films are unoriginal, but it's the execution that counts. Of course enjoy what you enjoy, but unoriginality is such an over used comment in regards to movie plot. In a world where thousands of movies are released every year, there are bound to be story elements that are similar or down right identical. It just isn't a valid reason in my opinion, but that is just MY opinion.
He uses it because people always say that the matrix was "so original" and the idea "blew their minds". If one of their reasons for liking the movie is its originality, then a rebuttel would be to show that it is unoriginal.
+Giantguy1321 The reason why unoriginal is used describe a story or part of it is because when you get a scene that you recognize without knowing the story and then you can just say what is going to happen based off what you have seen it is not going to leave a great impact. Seeing X and because of that event Y takes place is only going to impress people a few times in other places, if at all. If you can leave part way through a movie during your first viewing only to come back a few minutes later and be just as entertained as everyone that watched what you didn't, then what did you miss out on? That's not to say you shouldn't be entertained by something after seeing something similar, but if an idea in something you make has already been done, then you can't blame the audience for not being entertained.
There's nothing new under the sun. But there's a difference between merely unoriginal and a bunch of lazy copying. Sometimes I think Critic refers to the latter.
Here's a big one: I thought Star Wars prequels were OK. Sure they had *a lot* of problems and were *very* disappointing but I really don't think they're as bad as people make them out to be.
Agreed. _The Phantom Menace_ was good, _Revenge of The Sith_ was even better! Personally, the only truly "bad" Prequel movie is _Attack of The Clones_. Even that had certain interesting moments.
***** Yeah, I always have fun watching _The Phantom Menace_. Um, I don't like the Amazing Spider-Man movies, but I have friends who do. Good enough, right? :p
Master Ofu I personally like the prequels. There were some things that bothered me (Jar-Jar, Anakin whining too much, and the reveal of Darth Vader to name a few), but overall still liked them.
Esteban Salinas man I love that movie !! By far I will all praise this movie despite any negative backlash. Oh btw I love X-men 3 also! Those are the movie that stand out best for me!
As a film, Prince Caspian was pretty good. As someone who has read all of the Narnia books multiple times, I found the changes a little unsettling (Caspian was supposed to be a great deal younger, and the flirtation/romance between Caspian and the eldest sister, Susan, never happened in the book, for instance) but I realize they sometimes they have to change things and I didn't let it get in the way of enjoying the movie..
Honestly, I thought CHAPPiE was a good movie. Like the story was kind of weak and it ripped off stuff like robocop but still I liked how it showed what is right and what is wrong and discussed human morals while having an interesting sci fi style
I like school of rock but so many people seem to hate it, I get that the humour is kinda dumb but it's a family film so that's pretty expected. Maybe it's the nostalgia of growing up watching that film but I don't see why people hate it.
I was kind of expecting to see Alien vs. Predator on this list. I know it's not great, but it's certainly not the pile of crap a lot of people seem to think it is. I mean, it's pretty good as far as movie crossovers go.
It wasn't completely terrible but it could have been done far better. Rather than going to a buried pyramid in Antarctica it would be more interesting as a normal human colony world in the Alien universe (perhaps not as bleak as Hadley's Hope though). Have the Predators intentionally release the xenomorphs on the colony as a kind of hunting reserve for them to return to years later. The xenomorph hive starts to rapidly grow and threaten the humans. Humans call in help from the colonial marines. This potentially threatens the Predator's hunting ground forcing them to return to the planet in order to remove the threat and allow the xenomorph hive to continue expanding. Of course xenomorphs aren't sentient so they don't realise the Predators are trying to protect the hive from the marines. So then you've got humans trying to wipe out the xenomorphs to protect their homes, Predators trying to wipe out the human soldiers to preserve their hunting grounds and xenomorphs fighting to defend their hive from both. That's pretty scary because it's not like the Predators are there just to hunt humans, they're trying to set up a future hunt and the humans are just pests that are in the way. And they're also not actively trying to kill the xenomorphs because they want more of them to hunt later (so the humans have to wipe out the xenomorphs because the Predators are trying to avoid fighting them where possible) Xenomorphs will do what xenomorphs will do (sneak around trying to eat/lay eggs in the humans and Predators. In all this humans would just be innocent bystanders that are a nuisance to the Predators and food to the xenomorphs. Perhaps have an element of mystery to the story by not revealing that the Predators put the xenomorphs on the planet until towards the end (perhaps the humans stumble across a hologram recording on the Predator ship or something).
I think the majority of people that hated it haven't seen any of the older movies. It was completely fan service, and I loved it. They could have done without the same kind of cutaways as 2014, or most of the fights in the dark.
It always bugged me that the Narnia movie series always seemed to start with 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' when that was actually the 2nd book. I never understood why 'The Magician's Nephew' was ALWAYS pushed aside when it's essentially the creation story of Narnia.
Because Magician's Nephew was a *prequel* published later. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is the first book, not chronologically, but as a published work.
Most audiences unfamiliar with the other Narnia books aside from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe wouldn’t have gone to see The Magician’s Nephew. It would’ve flopped and Disney would’ve instantly shelved the franchise.
They are some seriously sad people! I feel sorry for them😔 their missing out on one of the best stand alone superhero films I’ve ever seen! (then again I haven’t seen many😅)
Excluding some of the films that I like from Doug's list, here's mine: 10. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull 9. The Day After Tomorrow 8. Knowing 7. War of the Worlds (2005) 6. The Village 5. Tales from Earthsea 4. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 3. Godzilla (2014) 2. The Star Wars Prequels 1. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies
eclipsesonic people didn't like the new godzilla ? i dug it a shit ton other than the fact that (SPOILERS ) my boy bryan cranston died way too early in the film.
shadowprince101 A lot of people were upset that Godzilla was barely in the movie at all. Also, I think a lot of people complained that it was too dark (literally).
eclipsesonic God, just freaking all of the Hobbit movies. It pisses me off how people take the Hobbit trilogy as a joke, when in reality I thought it was just as epic as Lord of the Rings, just done in a different way.
Atlantis, Is my favorite 2D disney film, The characters were so enjoyable, the music is amazing, the animation is beautiful, and mostly, the concept is freakin' amazing! Despite of its flaws, I would watch this again!
It's more that it's so underappreciated and a lot of people haven't seen it. And at the time, people didn't get it. A lot of Shyamalan's films were marketed poorly. People were expecting something different.
1 film that i like but Everybody seems to hate is The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The reason why i love the film so much is because it realy stuck close to the ultimate spider-man comics and i wanted to see a live action spider-man movie set in that universe. i admit that the film was rushed and could have been made better if they gave it more time but for what we got i still don't think it's that bad of a film. I realy enjoyed the villains backstories as well i liked the fact that the reason harry hates peter towards the ending is because he felt betrayed. i also liked how electro was somewhat of an outcast people didn't realy respect or even care about him which gives him more reason to do what he does and why he hates people. It sucks that we didn't get The Amazing Spider-Man 3 because i realy would've liked to find out would would've happened next in that franchise.
I want to offer my opinion on these hot takes so if you want a second opinion, here you go: 10. Unbreakable. This is one of my favorite movies of all time. Like man, I really love this film all the way through. I used to be one of those "Hate on Shyamalan" guys because I thought it was funny and cool but now I've grown up and actually seen his films and this is one of my favorites. Love it all the way through and always will. Some might still give this guy a hard time but I won't. If you give me a favorite film, you can't wrong me. 9. Punch Drunk Love. I was young when I saw this. Not old enough to appreciate it. I'll add it to the list. 8. Atlantis The Lost Empire. A childhood favorite. Just a fun movie through and through. It isn't nearly as good as other disney films and unfortunately it is a 2d film made post Pixar when everybody was paying less attention to the mouse and more attention to the lamp. I love the visuals in this film particularly. Hopefully 2D animation will make a comeback. I love Pixar and 3D with a dying passion but I also hold so many 2D films close to me and I refuse to see the artform as old fashioned. Atlantis isn't the best but it is surely fun. 7. Hancock. Love it. Such a weird film in many ways but that's what makes it special. Kind of ahead of its time considering the superhero resurgence we've had. I'm surprised people don't bring this up as much nowadays. I forgot about it until this very moment. Let's talk about it some more. 6. Narnia. I honestly didn't get invested in the first film and therefore didn't see this one. As someone that loves fantasy worlds, I'm surprised to say that, but this one wasn't for me. Sorry . . . 5. I aint a Star Trek guy. Sorry again . . . 4. The Cable Guy. I honestly never saw it and I should. I love Jim Carrey yet I never find myself in a Cable Guy mood. It'll happen. 3. Matrix Reloaded. I didn't like the first Matrix, despite really wanting to. I love some moments from it and I love the ideas and respect it immensely, but it ain't for me. I actually went out of my way to watch Cloud Atlas because I was incredibly curious about the Wachowskis and . . . . yeah . . . . They don't make movies for me but that Cloud Atlas is nuts. I really wanna rewatch that, actually. 2. Spider man 3. I have a soft spot for this trilogy. Even though I clown on the emo haircut and dancing scene, I do so with an understand that deep down I like these films. It is cool to see superhero films from the pre MCU era and analyze how they envisioned their characters. Maybe you had to grow up with this one like I did. 1. X Men 3. I actually like all these X men films for what they are. I don't feel too strongly about any of them but they're a fun watch. Wish I had more to say about some of these, but there you go for those who care. PEACE OUT!
The first Narnia movie is a masterpiece IMHO and I love the other two as well (although not as much). Prince Caspian is great, and I say this as a fan of the books!
In hindsight the first movie is not such a masterpiece actually, at least not when looked on in a technical light. The CGI for the animals looks outdated already for once. The set design and the writing was amazing though. And the acting for the most part was brilliant. I wish they had shown more gruesome moments straight-up, but then again, kid's movie. Although the book, I believe, didn't shy away from too much. Aslan was described as being stabbed, but in the movie we cut away. Today I don't think they'd have done that. Or maybe they would, because PETA would have flipped their shit for some reason.
That's funny considering I loved the first Narnia movie when I was younger. But now as an adult, I think it's cringey and bad....in a Twilight sort of way. Maybe it has something to do with the acting in my opinion, but overall I can't stand the movie. Glad you like it though.
Well here is my list: 20. Spider-Man 3 (I have a love-hate relationship with this movie) 19. Annie (2014) 18. Transcendence 17. Star Trek: Into Darkness 16. Tomb Raider 1 & 2 15. Green Lantern / The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor 14. John Carter 13. Prometheus 12. Fantastic Four 1 & 2 (2005-2007) 11. Man of Steel / G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra 10. The Golden Compass 9. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves 8. Quantum of Solace 7. Batman Forever 6. Most of the Disney movies classic remakes: Maleficent, Alice in Wonderland, Oz: The Great and Powerful 5. The Star Wars prequels 4. Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince 3. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 2. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For 1. Daredevil Director's Cut
Delon Luu Sin City 2 was definitely an enjoyable film. It would have been far better if Eva Green's frequent acts of sex and stripping had been removed though.
Movies I Like that Everybody Hates: Punisher: War Zone Mission: Impossible 2 Bright The Boondock Saints Mile 22 Ghost in the Shell 2017 Transformers: Age of Extinction Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day Need for Speed Fast & Furious 2009 The Hitman's Bodyguard Death Wish 2018 Kick-Ass 2 Proud Mary Blackhat Venom The Predator London Has Fallen Spectre Exit Wounds Sabotage Death Race 2008 A Man Apart Miami Vice 2006 Ninja Assassin The One War 2007 Bad Boys II G.I. Joe: Retaliation The Punisher 2004 Chappie Faster XxX 2002 XxX: Return of Xander Cage
The number 1 movie that I like but everybody else hates is Terminator 3. While is not nearly as good as the previous 2 (T1 is my favorite of the series) I liked the idea of Skynet finally taking over. Seeing John Connor hurt after the death of his mother and the T-800 from T2 I thought was a clever Idea to see why he wants to escape and forget all of his past. Seeing Arnold is always tone of fun also!! But I see problems too. The T-X is just a mixed between the original terminator and the T-1000 and the movie is also a reapet of the second movie. Some scenes are very boring but other scenes are very clever. Seeing the robots starting to take over the humans is so epic to me and the final scene is so emotional too in a way! (Not as much as the T2 endind though).
I don't know if many "hated" them per say, but just didn't enjoy how different they were to the books. But the book series is my favorite series and I still enjoyed the movies! Regardless if they were 100% perfect, it was still fun to see the world I had always dreamt of and imagined come to life. :)
A movie that I love that everybody else hates would probably be Thomas the Tank Engine and the Magic Railroad. I really enjoyed its sort of additions to Thomas’s world and how it all works.
That movie is as old as I am 21 years old and yes I watched it too that movie went through a lot scratched multiple times stuck in a DVD player for a couple of years ( think like 2 ) that got moved ( got bounced around a lot ) still worked but the case I am surprised that it didn’t completely get broken good times . This was before I found out all the information about it and I can see why people hated it and I don’t like certain parts of it too .
There's MANY people who like them. It's just the moronic prequel haters who try to just nitpick about everything they do differently from the originals and what they don't like.
1. Frozen (So many people call it overrated that it's paradoxically become underrated; I think it's one of the best films of the 21st century) 2. The Fountainhead 3. Glen or Glenda 4. Christmas Evil 5. The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T 6. Caligula 7. Agora 8. Conquest of the Planet of the Apes 9. Son of Kong 10. The Cable Guy Honorable mentions: Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. I acknowledge that it isn't high art, but it fulfills its purpose of being a silly low-budget family film to provide 80 minutes of fun. I enjoy the bizarrely whimsical atmosphere it creates with such minuscule resources. Even if cheap, I always prefer the stylized over the naturalistic. Tomorrowland. A film I almost love. The premise and themes are absolutely amazing, but the execution is merely good. Perhaps Disney wouldn't be in the creative rut it is today if this was a financial hit. Exorcist II. Beautifully shot madness. Certainly it makes no sense, but it comes from an inherently nonsensical premise and completely embraces the absurdity. 1BR. I think it's one of the better horror films of recent years, albeit flawed. The direction is average, but thematically it's brilliant. Received okay reviews but very little attention. Kickassia. A niche micro-budget project to be sure, but infinitely funnier than the vast majority of comedies that have made it to theatres. Received a sudden downpour of hate when Doug was cast as the Internet's symbolic villain of the week, but this is thankfully starting to die down.
I love The Village. I don't usually get scared in movies, and that guy who's name I can't pronouce made two movies that scared me. The Village when that red dude comes out of nowhere in the middle of day, it's so unseen or heard of in movies. To have a scary scene in the bright of day. The other was in the movie "Devil" or something. An old lady playing at being possessed, it was just creepy as shit. Though that is my "weakness" well acted demonic scenes scare the shit out of me, because I used to believe in that crap.
I liked Unbreakable and The Village too. At the time, people really didn't see the twist in The Village coming, but I guess now it's edgy to say you figured it out right at the start.
Ilyana Galen I saw Lady in the Water a few weeks ago and sure it was stupid but I enjoyed it for what it was which is basically a live action fantasy bed time story. However after that movie I can't really defend him even The Visit was just "okay" at best I mean it's a step in the right direction but from the man who made Unbreakable he can do better.
I'm that person that tends to read the book before the movie, but I adored the Narnia movies! Those films were very well made. Sometimes translating a book to film is difficult, especially when it's Disney and they have to keep it kid friendly. However, Prince Caspian was one of my favorites, it got dark but not too dark, and it made me (who was about 12-13 at the time of watching it) feel more grown up. Lord of the Rings is another one of those trilogies that translate very well, but it is also very difficult to appeal to the fans who are reading the books and consider it very much a huge part of their childhood. Ms. Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children on the other hand was a dreadful translation, and I didnt read the book until after watching the film. They flip flopped the characters, made an odd romance between two characters and left it on a weird note. The Giver, which was a good film, was a horrible translation of the book. There was no romance between the two leads, but people wanted to romanticize it. Book to film movies are those that need to be watched but keep it in the back of your mind how difficult it is for a book to be translated to a film.
Not really a movie per se, but there is a music group from certain movies that everybody loves to hate on: Nickelback, a band that I have no shame in liking, despite the stuff they get laughed at for what they make. The movies that they're featured in are also some that I liked that everybody didn't: Spider-Man (the 2002 soundtrack, anyway) Daredevil The Punisher The Condemed
Nickelback does get a lot of hate, even though they aren't as bad as people make them out to be. Sure, it's fun to take the piss out of a song like "Photograph" but they have decent tracks such as "Window Shopper," "Fly," "Curb," "Breathe," "Leader of Men," "Worthy to Say," "Hold Out Your Hand," basically stuff from the first two albums.

Amane Suou I still pretty much hate them (believe me, I TRIED to like 'em, but they don't do anything for me). I give Chad K. credit for discovering Theory of a Deadman, though (who is incidentally a MUCH better band).
Meh, I could go either way. At first, I wasn't a fan of Nickelback. And while I'm still not, I'd be lying if I said there weren't any songs that I enjoyed from the band. There were a couple decent tracks. Songs like How You Remind Me and Believe It Or Not sound pretty catchy, in my opinion.
Amane Suou THANK YOU! I love Nickelback, and I’m proud of that. They never deserve the hate they always get. And honestly, the “worst” music from Canada? When Justin Bieber is also Canadian? No, Bieber is infidelity worse than Nickelback ever could be.
I liked the beginning of Hancock, the whole romance plot just ruined the movie in my opinion. And I still can't believe people didn't like cable guy, honestly I think that's one of Carrey's best movies.

@@spideytheguy6679 indeed I know it's part of the prequel saga but it was the ending and yes it's writing was clumsy but it was so cheesy it was relatable to many people and many of these lines are so good examples: Hello There! So uncivilized... Hence forth you shall be known as Darth... Vader! and then this movie had some of the most kickass battles Kenobi vs Grievous Anakin vs Kenobi Yoda vs Sidious and in my opinion how shocking order 66 was not to mention Unlimited Power!!!!
I actually like Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, the costumes were great, the message about finding yourslef once again is important specialy for a young adult (or not so young), and I like that Alice was the one to defeat the monster at the end (I know his name but I may misspell it)while wearing a suit of armor that was pretty *and* practical I also have enjoyed every single Pirates of the Caribbean movie even if I do admit that the fourth one is the weakest one, mainly cause I like Penelope Cruz's character but by the end I am sure they just didn't know which direction they wanted her character to go
I think the 4th Pirates was the weakest because I feel like Will's story ended on a cliffhanger in the 3rd one and they don't do anything to resolve it in the 4th. I cannot stress how much that pisses me off.
+Caridad Chang good for you, I not so keen on Burton films so alice in wonderland didnt do much for me, but your points on the film and the justification of why you like it are very good and well explained. btw the monster is the jabberwocky.
you did a great job getting your point across, i think after reading your points, i will rewatch it with your points in mind and see what new stuff i like
If I had to make a top 10 it would be this: 10: The Giant Claw 9: X-Men Origins Wolverine 8: Hancock 7: The Cable Guy, lots of people hate it. 6: The Room, that movie is amazing. 5: Ghost Rider 4: Sorcerer's Apprentice 3: National Treasures 2 2: X3 1: Spiderman 3
10. the Interview-stupid but pretty funny 9. Batman Forever-I actually like Jim Carrey's the Riddler, and used to watch in endlessly as a child. Still enjoy it. 8. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-not as good as the original of course, but not awful. just unneeded. 7. How to lose a guy in 10 days-watch it with my mother on occasion. it's kinda stupid but sweet and has some good laughs. 6. The Day After Tomorrow-just like this movie. It's fun. 5. all POTC movies-I own them all, and like them all, though the fourth was obviously not as good. I'll probs go see the 5th. 4. Jim Carrey's the Grinch-LOVE this movie, watch it every Christmas w/ fam and friends. Don't get the hate. 3. Star Wars prequels-No, they're not as good as the original, but I enjoy them. I do find some of the dialogue corny, but they don't deserve the hate they get imo. 2. The Hobbit Trilogy-Lots of people disliked these, esp. BOT5A, but I enjoy all of them. Just bought the third one :D 1. John Carter-Was a great movie, creative and fun. Wish it did better at the box office.
Yes Charlie and the Chocolate Factory *IS* not just as good as the original, it's even better. Plus it's a lot closer to the original book. And no, lots of people didn't dislike The Hobbit trilogy. Lots of people liked them. They just say they don't compare to the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
William M. Deza The second one is my favorite; Will and Elizabeth are far more interesting. I hadn't heard of anyone hating the second one like the third installment. I liked the third movie too; granted i would have rather they did a movie where they focused primarily on the roumding up of pirates, but I still liked it and i think it had the funniest moments out of all of the movies.
10 Garfield 9 Mulan 2 8 Cars 2 7 Chamber Of Secrets 6 Thor The Dark World 5 Deathly Hallows Part 1 4 Shrek The Third 3 Half Blood Prince 2 Star Wars Prequels 1 Narnia Prince Caspian
The Hobbit Trilogy (I love the book and I know they changed alot but to me almost all the changes improved the movie in my opinion. it's not as good as lotr but honestly it's still a masterpiece in my opinion) Narnia: Prince Caspian (I read the book but the changes I liked) Star wars the Last Jedi (I understand some of the problems but don't understand why people hate it so much) Thor the Dark World (it was the first mcu movie and I still think it's pretty good. in my opinion Loki is the best in that then in all the other movies he's in) Batman V. Superman:Ultimate edition (the theatrical cut is messy but to me the extended cut fixes most of the film's problems and I really like the movie. I love the score, batfleck is awesome, it got more political, it had elements from the book which I liked, I thought there were great monologues from characters [which happens to be one of my favorite things in a comic book movie] to me I love this movie but the theatrical cut isn't great) Man of Steel (I thought it was thought provoking, deeper, more relatable than Superman has been in a movie, and the villain was fantastic. the only problem is that the third act goes balls to the wall with death and action and it feels like too much fighting. However the problem is washed away for me because it's his first fight so of course he's gonna be destructive and the action visually looks great) Jim Carrey's the Grinch (I watch it every Christmas. it's stupid but I love it) Spiderman 3 (for me it's a guilty pleasure. I love the sandman stuff it's fantastic but the emo Parker stuff has me dying every time😂) The greatest showman (to me it's a masterpiece but critics hated it. I really don't get it I love the music and the movie)
Alright, Here's My List; Movies I Like that Everyone Hates: Iron Man 2 Iron Man 3 Thor: The Dark World The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Daredevil The Punisher (2004) Punisher: War Zone Quantum of Solace Spectre Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Spider-Man 3 Resident Evil: Extinction Robocop (2014) Transformers: Dark of the Moon Sausage Party Hunchback of Notre Dame Faster Transformers: Age of Extinction Hancock The Dark Knight Rises Bad Boys II Shrek Forever After G.I. Joe: Retaliation The Matrix Reloaded
+Yozora Mikazuki I totally agree with most of these. Especially the Transformers movies, The Punisher movies, the Daniel Craig James Bond movies, and the Iron Man sequels. I like those.
Mine, in no particular order: -Star Wars: The Phantom Menace -Star Wars: The Last Jedi -The Majestic (Probably the most forgotten Jim Carrey film.) -Spider-Man 3 -Space Jam -Xanadu (Remember that? It came during a string of 1980 flop musicals that included Can't Stop the Music and Sgt. Pepper.) -The Godfather, Part III (Well, it did get a Best Picture Oscar nod. But, a lot of people just hate it flat out mainly because it didn't measure up to the first 2.)
Movies I love, but everyone else seems to hates: Batman V Superman - Extended cut. Man of Steel. Batman Forever. The Amazing Spider-man. The Amazing Spider-man 2. Spider-man 3 Dark Knight Rises. Space Jam. Mortal Kombat. Demolition Man. Freddy Vs Jason. Dragon Ball Battle of Gods. Dragon Ball Revival of F. Last Action Hero. Powerpuff Girls the Movie. Fullmetal Alchemist: The conqueror of Shamballa. How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
One of those films for me is Blackhat (2015). I found it on Netflix and went in blind, having not watched any trailers at all (I later found out that the trailer’s weren’t that good) and being a fan of Michael Mann and I was surprised by it. It wasn’t perfect with the love story coming out of nowhere, but for the rest of the elements and especially the hacking, it was a refreshing and more realistic take on hacking in action movies while also keeping my attention. Overall, the film was enjoyable and didn’t deserve to flop at the box office. #2 on my list is Chappie (2015). Another movie which I avoided the trailers for and watched purely on the director’s name, this time being Neil Blomkamp (District 9). I loved District 9 and even enjoyed Elysium despite it’s heavy handed themes. This one not only met my expectations in terms of drama, themes, and visuals, but also managed to be just as good as District 9. And the visuals are really photorealistic for a mid budget movie. #3 is Assassins Creed (2016). Wasn’t Oscar-Worthy but as an adaptation of the series, it did great in my eyes. #4 is Tomorrowland. The film wasn’t perfect, having an ok-ish second half but overall, it was pretty enjoyable and above-average. #5 is Ghost in the Shell (2017). Again, it wasn’t Oscar-Worthy and underperformed at the box office but after seeing Christ Stuckmann give it an A-, I thought it would be worth checking out. And it was. The film is visually beautiful and what’s crazy about the effects was that they pulled it off with a budget smaller than Alita Battle Angel and it still holds it’s own against that movie due to one person, John Dykstra (Spider-Man 1 and 2, Star Wars, and recent Tarantino films). Visuals aside, the film is decently written and has good acting. Coming off Snow White and the Hunstman, Rupert Sanders did an excellent job capturing the feel and look of Ghost in the Shell and despite the film not being as deep and as meaningful as the original (which I have yet to watch), this looks to be the turning point for anime adaptations as a whole. #6 is Dark Phoenix (2019). Again, it’s not a perfect movie as it had problems with the underdeveloped villains and the infamous “X-Women” scene, but as a whole it’s pretty solid. I pretty much avoided this one in theatres due to the bad reviews but after a while, I decided to rent it and see if it’s as bad as people were saying. The answer: Not really. Despite the problems mentioned above, the film looks and sounds amazing, the slow pacing was a lot better than I thought it would be, and even the writing and directing is kind of solid here. Simon Kinberg wrote The Last Stand, which also has the Dark Phoenix, but Fox brought in Zak Penn because they considered Kinberg’s script to be too dark. Here, he gets a second chance at the story and he does a lot better job than last time. People complained about the scale being too small and from what I’ve heard about the original comic, I can understand why. Regardless of the scale, they still managed to pull it off. I still honestly think that Last Stand is one of the worst X-Men films alongside Apocalypse (2016) but luckily the lines and deliveries weren’t cringy. Even Sophie Turner’s acting is better here than Apocalypse which might be due to the change in Director. Speaking of Directing, this is Kinberg’s directorial debut and I think his directing was pretty solid in most parts, even more so than Bryan Singer’s efforts in Apocalypse. Even Chris Claremont, who wrote the original comic, praised this adaptation and now, I can see why he liked it.
For fairness sake, I'll name my own personal "Movie I Love But Everyone Hates", which is..Zack Snyder's *_Watchmen_*. Everybody seems to _really_ hate this movie, but..I think it's a *_masterpiece_* and I refuse to apologise for loving it :) (Oh and *_Chappie_*. Can't forget how everyone hates that movie. )
Beau Agrawal Basically, I feel that every scene, every moment, every line of dialogue is near-perfect. I'm no critic (not even a film student), so..I honestly can't "elaborate" very well.
dannbk13 Oh yeah, he was great. They gave The Comedian a lot of good scenes in the movie. Personally, I think _everyone_ gave good performance, but..I especially LOVE Rorschach and Dr.Manhattan. They pulled off those characters perfectly.
Me trying to explain Watchmen unpopularity to people who haven't seen it: "For these that came for the action there was too much talking and thinking, and for these that enjoy talking and thinking, there was too much punches and gore. If you can take both, you'll love it" And I absolutely loved it. Whenever someone's criticizing it, I find myself thinking "wait, these were the things I liked about that!" I even read the original comic afterwards, and was impressed by how well it adapted the source material. Basically, the only major changes I can recall were Veidt's plan, and in my opinion it actually started making somewhat more sense in the movie, and Manhattan annihilating Rorschach in front of everyone, which I guess makes sense too.
I was just soooo disappointed on the lack of delivery of the Phoenix story that was promised at the end of 2. If it hadn't been for that, it would have been fine.
I've always hated the "fate" trope. It's the most boring and uninspired motivation characters could have. There are some stories that do interesting things with them, like the aforementioned Unbreakable (whether it was intended or not). But most of the time a character's destiny is laid out in an old book or the theme is how everything had PURPOSE all along or something else groan-worthy, a potentially interesting story is made moot. Why should we care at all what happens, if it was always meant to be? Some, like Harry Potter, manage to inverse this trope in an interesting way. The only reason Harry was destined to be the one to beat Voldemort was because Voldemort himself believed so and chose to act on it. It could've just as well been Neville.

People like it now. It wasn't popular when it came out since it wasn't what was being advertised, and doesn't really have a third act. Trailers being misleading is less important as time goes on, especially for movies that didn't find their audience in the first place.

the sandman was the best part of spiderman 3 in my opinion.
ToxicMonster5 exactly. Rest was ass though
yeah great story should have stay focused on that and the black suit. keep venom for the next movie
And just don't do the fucking dancing scene... really... Why???

I've never heard of anyone who hates it, I've never seen it.
worst Tim Burton. They've never seen the Alice movie
Worst Tim Burton movie? What about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the Alice in Wonderland movies? Sweeney Todd was amazing.
***** I love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It's hilarious. I thought Johnny Depp was great in it. He was so funny.
That a painting of Critic and The Nerd behind him on the wall? 🤣😂🤣
Sam Raimi didn't want Venom in Spider-Man 3 but he was pressured by the publishers to put him in, so Sam Raimi just wrote him in but he already had enough of the plot ready that there wasn't much time for Eddie Brocks back story, and for me Venom was kinda boring but I liked the scene where the symbiote enters Eddie's body and then screams towards the screen.
wait, who doesn't like atlantis? That was a great movie.

The King of the Penguins most people like that movie
The Greatest Showman, Star Wars prequels, and Pierates of the Caribbean 3.
SAME WHAT THE HECK
Especially about the Greatest Showman
SANDLER BETTER THAN JIM CARREY ACTING?? Did you not see Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind or The Truman Show?
RedRooster1012 he did see it. He says so at 23:45
Fortit Jordan it deals with dark elements
Don't forget The Majestic.
He meant that Sandler is better at doing serious drama than Carrey
either way, it's still wrong haha
I really liked Man of Steel because it really was the first Superman movie break away from the Christopher Reeves version of Superman every non-mondern comic book fan seems to have in their heads about the character. Superman is a bad ass and this was the first movie to show that.
Yes, because Superman is a mindless fighting machine, not a character. No personality or charm to be found. That's what the people want.
I like it too. I understand the reason 'it's not like the comicbook charachter', but then read the comics, or watch the old movies. At least something new (especially in the marvel age - where every movie is the same).
Christopher *Reeve

Jim even mixed drama and comedy in The Mask, possibly my favorite Jim Carrey movie
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind ? anyone?
Yeah I actually think Adam Sandler in someways is a better dramatic actor than he is a comedic one. Uncut gems is also a pretty good example of that.
I really like it when Mr. Walker breaks character and releases these kinds of videos.
Cable Guy is one of my favourite Jim Carry movies.
It's weird and Ben Stiller just took a risk, which everyone should.
Broken Arrow is a pretty fun movie, especially with John Travolta as the bad guy. That "nuclear weapons" line never got old for me.
This was always my brother's favourite movie ever
Mine would be Batman and Robin. It's so bad it's good
AntonyPancake did you get the limited edition bat credit card?
AntonyPancake Bat nips is what made the film for me
There's a great Movie Defense Force video about this movie that makes the argument that it is a return to the Adam West style of Batman.
It's so bad it's funny but not good it's actually more entertaining then some of the blander ones in the middle especially Forever not as much as Returns.
OutlawsBebop yes, that's what's fascinating about Batman and Robin, it's a big budget Adam West-campy Batman! 😅
+KeymashProductions The Matrix is just Plato's Allegory of the Cave.
There's nothing new under the sun.
But there's a difference between merely unoriginal and a bunch of lazy copying. Sometimes I think Critic refers to the latter.
+David R. Yates Ghost in the Shell*
Framing the shot, "Yeah, I want an African mask on my left and James Rolfe on my right. That works."
Master Ofu As a follow up: I think the original trilogy is 'eh.'
***** Movies are not mathematical equations.
That's not how it works..
I liked X-Men Apocalypse. It wasn't great but it wasn't that bad, there were enjoyable parts.
Esteban Salinas It was OK I own it
Esteban Salinas man I love that movie !! By far I will all praise this movie despite any negative backlash. Oh btw I love X-men 3 also! Those are the movie that stand out best for me!
yes
For me, it would be Kingsman: The Golden Circle
I hate that movie lol
This video was released before the kingsman series turned into a movie
Evrybody does=))
I don’t hate it I just think it wasn’t nearly as good as the first one
I liked it. Not as much as the original, but the action was pretty cool.
Chappie was an interesting little movie. I also kinda liked the music in it.
People dislike the name Blomkamp. Just as with Snyder. Winding Refn etc.
"I just wanted to see the Phoenix on the big screen"
Well, Doug, aren't you lucky to see her twice on the big screen XD
I like school of rock but so many people seem to hate it, I get that the humour is kinda dumb but it's a family film so that's pretty expected. Maybe it's the nostalgia of growing up watching that film but I don't see why people hate it.
Matt Barber What? It got a 90 on rotten tomatoes and it launched Jack Blacks carrrer. I'm pretty sure alot of people like it buddy!
Matt Barber I grew up watching it and still liked it, never knew linklater directed it until recently
I like it too, but I don't know of too many people that didn't.
I was kind of expecting to see Alien vs. Predator on this list. I know it's not great, but it's certainly not the pile of crap a lot of people seem to think it is. I mean, it's pretty good as far as movie crossovers go.
Nioxi Sterling watch the Shining review. He mentions how it's underrated.
Blackadder5 He mentioned it being underrated in that review.
Nioxi Sterling Crap, I screwed up my typing XD
Nioxi Sterling I loved both AVP movies
I really enjoyed Godzilla: King of the Monsters even though the critics slammed it.
Same the critics are stupid
I think the majority of people that hated it haven't seen any of the older movies. It was completely fan service, and I loved it. They could have done without the same kind of cutaways as 2014, or most of the fights in the dark.
@@sansthedrummer I didnt watch any of the older movies and I still loved Godzilla king of the monsters it was amazing and enjoyable
I liked it but it’s the worst of the monster trilogy so far
The one of the best ones
The Truman show is similar to the matrix and is better in every way
Jack Harris very cool that you said that
It always bugged me that the Narnia movie series always seemed to start with 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' when that was actually the 2nd book.
People didn't like Hancock? I thought it was great too :D
Yeah, people didn't like Hancock, but they loved Transformers. Ready to vote for Cthulhu for President yet?
I'm glad Doug gave it recognition
I didn't like it, for exactly the reasons Doug said people didn't like it.

9. The Day After Tomorrow
8. Knowing
7. War of the Worlds (2005)
6. The Village
5. Tales from Earthsea
4. The Amazing Spider-Man 2
3. Godzilla (2014)
2. The Star Wars Prequels
1. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies
eclipsesonic people didn't like the new godzilla ? i dug it a shit ton other than the fact that (SPOILERS ) my boy bryan cranston died way too early in the film.
eclipsesonic yay to godzilla and spiderman
shadowprince101 A lot of people were upset that Godzilla was barely in the movie at all. Also, I think a lot of people complained that it was too dark (literally).
eclipsesonic God, just freaking all of the Hobbit movies. It pisses me off how people take the Hobbit trilogy as a joke, when in reality I thought it was just as epic as Lord of the Rings, just done in a different way.
eclipsesonic how was The Hobbit considered it bad?
Atlantis, Is my favorite 2D disney film, The characters were so enjoyable, the music is amazing, the animation is beautiful, and mostly, the concept is freakin' amazing! Despite of its flaws, I would watch this again!
Unbreakable is a classic, I didn't know it was a hated movie.
I know right, I've always considered it masterpiece
Yeah Unbreakable was fantastic.
It's more that it's so underappreciated and a lot of people haven't seen it. And at the time, people didn't get it. A lot of Shyamalan's films were marketed poorly. People were expecting something different.
This was pre Split once that came out Unbreakable has been remembered in a more positive light
Everybody hates Unbreakable?
Its the only good movie Shamalamadingdong ever did.
Everyone I knows loves it.
Steve Perrin Have you seen Sixth Sense? If not go see it, that's his best movie.

Steve Perrin It's considered the number one thriller of all time come on man!
9-BitFox Actually, the best thriller of all time goes to pycho.
Holy Narwhale87 It's in the film association 100 best Films of all time.
I want to offer my opinion on these hot takes so if you want a second opinion, here you go:
Philippe Parle Peu - Have you seen the animated version of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe?
Philippe Parle Peu sooooo, normally book-narnia fans don't like the movie-narnias? I've been doing something wrong

Pretty nice list.
I like those movies, too.
Pretty solid list. I like some of those as well.
+Veronica Silk I liked some of those, as well.
I like almost all of those except for kick ass 2 I will always prefer the first one
I read the Narnia books and I absolutely LOVED the movies. I never realized that people hated those movies!
I remember watching that as a kid lol.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Anyone who's got a problem with TtTE has a problem with me. Straight up.
Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, I really liked that movie.
The Star Wars Prequels.
There's MANY people who like them. It's just the moronic prequel haters who try to just nitpick about everything they do differently from the originals and what they don't like.

3. Glen or Glenda
4. Christmas Evil
5. The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T
6. Caligula
7. Agora
8. Conquest of the Planet of the Apes
9. Son of Kong
10. The Cable Guy
Honorable mentions:
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.
I like Unbreakable but for me its The Village I really like it but everyone hates it while everyone worships Signs which I despise

He didn't direct devil only wrote the story.
GrayWoIf
Oh. Still it's got his name in it, so I imagine idiots already hate it before seeing it.
I liked Unbreakable and The Village too. At the time, people really didn't see the twist in The Village coming, but I guess now it's edgy to say you figured it out right at the start.
Ilyana Galen
I saw Lady in the Water a few weeks ago and sure it was stupid but I enjoyed it for what it was which is basically a live action fantasy bed time story. However after that movie I can't really defend him even The Visit was just "okay" at best I mean it's a step in the right direction but from the man who made Unbreakable he can do better.
Unbreakable was in Tarantino's favorite movies list, so it can't be that bad
Finally my family is not the only ones that like Star Trek: Nemesis
Not really a movie per se, but there is a music group from certain movies that everybody loves to hate on:
Nickelback, a band that I have no shame in liking, despite the stuff they get laughed at for what they make.
The movies that they're featured in are also some that I liked that everybody didn't:
Spider-Man (the 2002 soundtrack, anyway)
Daredevil
The Punisher
The Condemed
The 2002 spiderman was unpopular? Well thats new...
Amane Suou THANK YOU! I love Nickelback, and I’m proud of that. They never deserve the hate they always get. And honestly, the “worst” music from Canada? When Justin Bieber is also Canadian? No, Bieber is infidelity worse than Nickelback ever could be.
*Wouldve been a cool twist if Matthew Broderick was imagining it all in The Cable Guy* 😂 😂 😂
I liked the beginning of Hancock, the whole romance plot just ruined the movie in my opinion.
And I still can't believe people didn't like cable guy, honestly I think that's one of Carrey's best movies.
10. Halloween III: Season of the Witch
9. Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
8. Hook
7. Open Season
6. Ice Age: Continental Drift
5. Cars
4. Shark Tale
3. Transformers
2. The Hobbit Trilogy
1. The Lost World: Jurassic Park/Jurassic Park ///
Glad to see Halloween III on your list
My 5 picks
Atlantis the lost empire
Transformers the last knight
Jurassic Park 3
Revenge of the sith
Amazing spider man
I liked those, too.
@Super Cool
>Transformers the Last Knight
*Say sike right now*
Revenge Of The Sith is great, The fact people hate it makes me want to punch my computer screen
I watched Jurassic Park 3 on VHS so many times as a kid. Is it the best Jurassic Park movie? Oh hell no. But I still love it.
I actually like Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, the costumes were great, the message about finding yourslef once again is important specialy for a young adult (or not so young), and I like that Alice was the one to defeat the monster at the end (I know his name but I may misspell it)while wearing a suit of armor that was pretty *and* practical
I also have enjoyed every single Pirates of the Caribbean movie even if I do admit that the fourth one is the weakest one, mainly cause I like Penelope Cruz's character but by the end I am sure they just didn't know which direction they wanted her character to go
I think the 4th Pirates was the weakest because I feel like Will's story ended on a cliffhanger in the 3rd one and they don't do anything to resolve it in the 4th. I cannot stress how much that pisses me off.
David R. Yates yeah, Will is likely to return on the 5th one but I do want the plot itself to be stronger this time around
+Caridad Chang good for you, I not so keen on Burton films so alice in wonderland didnt do much for me, but your points on the film and the justification of why you like it are very good and well explained.
btw the monster is the jabberwocky.
Juliet Clubb yeah I wasn't sure how to write that
you did a great job getting your point across, i think after reading your points, i will rewatch it with your points in mind and see what new stuff i like
I thought people like punch drunk love didn't it get nominated for Oscars
It got 79% on Rotten Tomatoes. I don't know why it's on the list.
It's loved by critics, but hated by audiences.
Atlantis.....????
I FRIGGIN' LOVE THAT MOVIE!!!
Wait, Wait, Wait.
There are people that hate Atlantis?
But Atlantis was great....
If I had to make a top 10 it would be this:
10: The Giant Claw
9: X-Men Origins Wolverine
8: Hancock
7: The Cable Guy, lots of people hate it.
6: The Room, that movie is amazing.
5: Ghost Rider
4: Sorcerer's Apprentice
3: National Treasures 2
2: X3
1: Spiderman 3
The Reaper I just saw the video and he has a lot in common xD
The Reaper The Room is like the best "So bad it's good" film
Nobody hates "The Room". It's one of those terrible cult classics, like "The Happening", "Plan 9 from Outer Space" or "Battlefield Earth".
The Reaper i liked spiderman three, and X origins wolverine was ok, i either havent seen anything else on your list or hated them
The Reaper You're just a Nic Cage fan right ?
When he was describing the type of friend in The Cable Guy, he was describing me. 😂😂
10. the Interview-stupid but pretty funny
Just bought the third one :D
I didn't know people didn't like Punch Drunk Love or Unbreakable. I really liked them.
Why not?
I honestly think that the second and third Pirates of the Caribbean are just as fun if not, more enjoyable than the first. Anyone else?
Me two
10 Garfield
9 Mulan 2
8 Cars 2
7 Chamber Of Secrets
6 Thor The Dark World
5 Deathly Hallows Part 1
4 Shrek The Third
3 Half Blood Prince
2 Star Wars Prequels
1 Narnia Prince Caspian
The Hobbit Trilogy (I love the book and I know they changed alot but to me almost all the changes improved the movie in my opinion. it's not as good as lotr but honestly it's still a masterpiece in my opinion)
Narnia: Prince Caspian (I read the book but the changes I liked)
Star wars the Last Jedi (I understand some of the problems but don't understand why people hate it so much)
Thor the Dark World (it was the first mcu movie and I still think it's pretty good. in my opinion Loki is the best in that then in all the other movies he's in)
Batman V. Superman:Ultimate edition (the theatrical cut is messy but to me the extended cut fixes most of the film's problems and I really like the movie. I love the score, batfleck is awesome, it got more political, it had elements from the book which I liked, I thought there were great monologues from characters [which happens to be one of my favorite things in a comic book movie] to me I love this movie but the theatrical cut isn't great)
Man of Steel (I thought it was thought provoking, deeper, more relatable than Superman has been in a movie, and the villain was fantastic. the only problem is that the third act goes balls to the wall with death and action and it feels like too much fighting. However the problem is washed away for me because it's his first fight so of course he's gonna be destructive and the action visually looks great)
Jim Carrey's the Grinch (I watch it every Christmas. it's stupid but I love it)
Spiderman 3 (for me it's a guilty pleasure. I love the sandman stuff it's fantastic but the emo Parker stuff has me dying every time😂)
The greatest showman (to me it's a masterpiece but critics hated it. I really don't get it I love the music and the movie)
I like Last Jedi as well and I'm glad I found someone to admit it to
Andrew Goode
Since when did people hate The Grinch And The Greatest Showman😂.
@@lewisconnor9613 I always hated the Grinch but I don't judge if you like it. I love GS though 😍

WAIT PEOPLE HATED SAUSAGE PARTY!!!, I mean it is very crude with its humour but I am a immature 16 year old so I loved that shit
Wait what? People loved Unbreakable when it came out
But after Shamalyan began to tank his career, a lot of people looked down on it
They still do. A bizarre pick.
Your first name is dumb.
Mine, in no particular order:
-Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
-Star Wars: The Last Jedi
-The Majestic (Probably the most forgotten Jim Carrey film.)
-Spider-Man 3
-Space Jam
-Xanadu (Remember that? It came during a string of 1980 flop musicals that included Can't Stop the Music and Sgt. Pepper.)
-The Godfather, Part III (Well, it did get a Best Picture Oscar nod. But, a lot of people just hate it flat out mainly because it didn't measure up to the first 2.)

The Amazing Spider-man 2.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
Nameless Avenger I love Batman forever
The amazing Spiderman 2
Spiderman 3
I'm pretty sure alot of people loved the dark Knight rises although
Batman v. Superman extended cut was no better than the theatrical cut Last Action Hero is good I must agree
9-BitFox Rises has not aged well in 6 years
What is your opinion of the Phantom Menace? It's one of the movies everyone hates that I like.
its on my list too (and it's coming from someone who grew up with the original trilogy).
Everybody seems to _really_ hate this movie, but..I think it's a *_masterpiece_* and I refuse to apologise for loving it :)
(Oh and *_Chappie_*. Can't forget how everyone hates that movie. )
Paradox Acres masterpiece? can you elaborate?
Beau Agrawal Basically, I feel that every scene, every moment, every line of dialogue is near-perfect.
I'm no critic (not even a film student), so..I honestly can't "elaborate" very well.
Paradox Acres I'm with you on Watchmen. It's one of my top 5 comic book movies. Jeffrey Dean Morgan as The Comedian was so damn great.
dannbk13 Oh yeah, he was great.
I LOVED Xmen 3 :D
its enjoyable enough. But has too many problems and ruins too much of the first two for me to watch it
X men last stand was the first X men movie I saw.
I was just soooo disappointed on the lack of delivery of the Phoenix story that was promised at the end of 2. If it hadn't been for that, it would have been fine.
Me too
same
LOL. The way Critic smiles after each segment before the camera cuts.....LOl
