You should play with damp latex ... ALL THE TIME - it grips better, wears less often - but don't over wet it

Late response but I had to go up a size I usually wear a size 8 in any glove but I struggled to get my hand in with west coast so I got a 9

Yes- except for Aero Series all other west coast gloves have finger protection
