Singer is explaining the ups and downs of his new job. There should be a distinct beat difference on the CHORUS and VERSE. If you notice the Piano is complete drowned out by the drums at this point because he's playing too loud :)
@@arpeeph you're completely talking out of your ass. a 'half time' beat would be completely wrong. he switches to the ride cymbal and cross stick instead of the previous combination of hi-hat and snare, which results in a clear distinction between the bridge and the rest of the song. the reason the drums 'drown out' the piano is either because of the recording or the sound engineer, not how loud the drummer is playing. 'there should be a distinct beat difference on the chorus and verse' is something someone says when they don't actually know about drumming.
