As a vegetarian person living in some unknown town in the UK, who has never been to New York, let alone the US, I still watch every single one of your videos and find them very entertaining :)
1:05 I mean, the moment someone gets a new car and gets excited because she/he will be able to fill community fridges again, you know it is a very kind soul
Margaret B and she literally APOLOGIZED when she wasn't able to for a bit... apologized for not doing a *chosen kindness* due to events not in her control. Like, who does that? Lovely Rebecca.
Thank you! I don’t really have an emotional connection to it like my last one but it’s bigger and more reliable which is better for the fridge fills and pulling the trailer! As soon as I get back from LA, I’m filling fridges 🤗
I'm from the UK, don't plan on coming to the US but I love your videos. Your long tour and review videos of the best burger, best pizza, best mac'n'cheese in New York as well as your LA vlog are my favourites. Also taste tests I love. I enjoy watching to see the differences and what is on offer in the US, New York specifically, what your stores are like, prices and variety😊
Excellent video Rebecca for us who are among the 5% of viewers that aren't New Yorkers. Love 🥰 the food it's awesome 👌 just like Rebecca 👍and Love 💕 Rebecca and her video's.
I love this so much. I haven’t been to screamers in a min but this made me miss their slices. They get so creative. If ur uptown come to Bos Bagels! They also have tofu walnut cream cheese and it’s wild. All the bagels are done on premises and they have a zaatar bagel that’s amazing. They also have good coffee. They have other sandwiches as well. Absolute Bagels also have good bagels too! 10000% and You tipped me to cafe viva in upper west side - that’s now my go-to for an amazing uptown slice!!
Such an awesome video! I have never been to NY so it was real interesting not only to discover what it is known for but also to see how *amazing* the vegan options are! Thank you for thinking about all of us abroad - I really appreciate it! Having said that, I enjoy all your content in spite of not living anywhere nearby - the combination of your energy and sense of humor with great food will always be something I will be willing to watch :D . Anyways, have a great day or night Rebecca! Lots and lots of love!
I have been to NYC dozens and dozens of times, and at one point contemplated moving to the city. Never-the-less, I always enjoyed the feeling of being a tourist in the Big Apple. In that light, I loved this video.
Went to Brooklyn Bagel & Coffee Company thanks to your recommendation, and I often think about that everything bagel with tofu scallion spread😋 nothing like it in Boston😩
If I ever make it to new York...I so want meet u and your boyfriend. Hang out and eat at awesome vegan place! Im not vegan BUT u help push more to push more plant based! My boyfriend and I want to go to new York one day.
Waw and I'm here, as a Persian Arab Belgian, with my butt in Bulgaria with no plans for going to NYC whatsoever, watching this just because I like Rebecca
I miss NY bagels. I did get a salted bagel when I visited NJ last week. Here in MD bagel shops are scarce. Makes me sad. I miss pizza also. Pizza here in meh.
I respect your opinions and once you totally convinced me I was wrong about TJ's "chicken" strips. However, I have to respectfully disagree that real New Yorkers prefer toasted bagels. I am born and raised New Yorker who grew up with a local hole in the wall bagel shop that has served a largely Jewish community who know a thing or two about great bagels. And I've had plenty of bagels throughout NYC. Someone who loves bagels, loves the bagel. It's not about the condiment, it's about the bagel. A crisp crust that shatters upon contact. The soft warm interior. The chew. The flavor of the wheat, the sesame, the poppyseed, or whatever topping is there. This, of course, is dependent on freshness. Toasting obliterates the nuances of these textures and flavors. People who love bagel sandwiches, now those people want their bagel toasted. For these folks, it's about the sandwich experience of bread and filling combined. I think you fall into this latter category. It may also be because you're younger and I feel that younger folks want the sandwich experience rather than the purity of the bagel experience. Anyway, you touched a nerve. I understand this might not be the place to stand on my soapbox but you thre down the gauntlet. I had to say something! My love for bagels is on the line
Our thoughts are more in line than you may think! Bagel in its purest form is fresh out the oven, crunchy on the outside, steamy on the inside. Untouched. But keep in mind the audience for this video is for the tourist wanting the bagel and cream cheese experience they see on screen. In that case, the chances of them getting a bagel right out of the oven is slim. And the best way the have cream cheese (in my opinion) is when it’s a lil bit melty vs cold. That’s where the toasting comes into play.
@@bodegacatx I see what you did there. Peacemaking. For tourist purposes, the suggestion to toast may be a good option as most places cater to the sandwich experience and most people don't appreciate bagel purity. I can accept! Perhaps our paths diverge because it's also about the cream cheese for you. For me, it's 100% about the bagel. If I were having vegan cream cheese, I could see the scales shifting. In any case, I never want to hear you ever say "real New Yorkers prefer toasted"!! Ever!
I'm curious if any of you have a curated list of vegan options in NY that are open late....By the time I get around to eating, it's usually after 8 or 9 pm ET....

Sunflower seed cheese just doesn’t do it for me 😬 But different ppl like different things! That’s why I included it even though I don’t like it.
Can we get a blind taste test challenge :)
I was supposed to visit in October from Ireland but we're still BANNED from travelling. Even though I'm fully vaccinated 😭
Oh that sucks!
As a fully vaccinated person, it’s sad to see the NYC we used to know is no longer accepting of everyone.
Huh?
Does anyone else remove half of the cream cheese because it's too much?!? Yes, I'm a weirdo.
Good video Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦👍

First one 😍
