My wife and I lived in Wyoming for over 20yrs. I think we had more dirt roads than paved ones. I'll take the winters here in Barren County Kentucky, over the long winters in Wyoming where we could get feet of snow in one snowstorm, and temps down to minus -30 degrees F or colder.
I was born in Kentucky I went to live in Florida, when I finally came back the traffic was the first thing I noticed there wasn't any! That in itself was a vacation daily!
@@davidzellow1292 it's a gorgeous day here in Kentucky you're not going to regret moving, the traffic is amazing, compared to Florida you will be on vacation!!
We've lived in east Texas (1 hr north of Houston 🥵) the humidity is crazy. We're better in western KY (Paducah area) - as a former Californian (before Texas) I prefer the cleaner air & 4 definite seasons (instead of blah & wildfire seasons). Bugs, fried foods,... no problem for me. When you've got bourbon, BBQ & beautiful waters- nothing can beat it ❤❤❤❤
My sweetie and I moved to Western Kentucky from the suburbs of Denver in November of 21. The historic tornado of December 10th, that leveled Mayfield passed 4000 ft to the South of the house we were staying at in Draffenville. That was our welcome to Kentucky. We finally found and purchased a suitable home on some acreage in Crittenden County. Now for my observations having lived here for two and a half years. I am firmly convinced that if it can be found in the encyclopedia of entomology, it resides on my 12 acres! Yes, the humidity is off the charts! In Colorado, your dishes would dry in the rack in five minutes. Here, more like five days!! The roads...why can't these people stay in their own @#%*ing lane!? I ride a motorcycle. Bikers, beware! Expect a car coming at you in your lane on a blind corner. Oh...I almost forgot. From the middle of March to the first of November your grass will grow an inch a day. If you love mowing, come to Kentucky! To be fair, there are some positives. The people here are extremely friendly. They'll even wave at you as they pass you (in your lane). The scenery is spectacular in the spring through the fall. Deer hunting is probably the best of anywhere in the country. The best thing of all about Kentucky is it's a RED state and because of that, I will never miss Colorado!
I live in Michigan and our humidity gets pretty intense. 80% is pretty much normal for the summer months. Probably because we have lakes all around us.
Lord have mercy!... I had no idea - we're in Texas with a lot of similarities... except the clean water y'all have !! which is the reason we're looking there...
Curvy, winding, hilly? You forgot narrow. It's OK for me because I grew up in the mountains of California so I'm used to it. What is a biggie is the idiots driving Kentucky mountain roads way too fast, and tailgating even in the rain or snow! Oh and let's not forget the ditches on each side of the roads that I've seen plenty of cars wind up in. And how about the literal thousands of dead animals strewn across these curvy, winding, hilly, narrow roads. County fairs? The San Diego County Fair in Southern California has fried everything too! How about some deep fried butter? Yup, they have it but no thanks! LOL!
I live in Maryland close to DC. I wish a damn tractor WOULD take it’s time Infront of me. Shiiiiidddd. We passing them here in MD one way or another 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
We have been looking at homes in KY and have noticed that everyone smokes. It seemed like everyplace we went they were smoking, it's a huge down side for us. We normally eat out everyday, we stopped and only ate in our hotel room before we hunted for homes each day.
BS its one person opinion...I was born Tennessee lived there til i was 3 moved to Wyandotte in Louisville with my Grandparents i went to School in Louisville ...I grew up in Louisville then moved to Houston nine years ago...Last 8 in Corpus Christi..Texas is all about money they Polute everything They hate anybody that dont look like them...Houston is not part of Texas cuz its diversified..Houston is just a big Louisville...But Louisville is a Deadzone all there is to do is get high drink its dead all my friends are dead i would dead if i was still there..
And surviving random gunfire as people think it’s totally ok to target shoot anywhere there’s a field or a stand if trees. Another reason is the exceedingly horrible schools in the rural areas. The high rates of chronic disease especially diabetes, heart disease and lung disease. Hmmm let’s see. Now there is no democratic representation in the central time zone so live it up a red state “paradise”. I was born and raised there and left. Best choice I ever made. Love the beautiful state but hate definitely takes that shine off.
@@libturdcrusher1776 Denver is a sh!t show with it being a sanctuary city. Downtown is destroyed. I live in Western Colorado and once this house sells moving some where around Dry Ridge Ky or North Carolina.

I lived in south Florida for 30 years. After dealing with the weather there, Kentucky will be a piece of cake.
Yeah, no hurricanes here! If there was a hurricane here, we’d all be in trouble!

With the right plants these can be managed i live in Florida i plant plants that keep everything away
What kind of plants keep insects away?
After watching the series 'justified ' I'm more worried about the people
AS long as you don't move to Louisville, you will be fine
Exactly!! It’s horrible.
Bugs, no big deal. I lived in Alaska. Bears and moose, lol
Lol yeah we lived out West a little bit before. Came back to the bugs! Bears aren’t our thing!
