Thanks for the review. To wind the large cone of off white yarn, try putting it on the floor below the winder and it should unwind the yarn from the top of the cone with no issues. You may have to move it to the right spot so it unwinds off the cone easily. I hope this helps and works for other large cones you may have.

Hi Penny! Great work ! You put it together and wound a beautiful baby cake. Awesome winder. I do have an electric winder, but it doesn't have a tilt in it to wind the yarn nicely. I don't use it. I got it on clearance at Michaels years ago.🤗🥰

If you unravel the yarn from the outside you will eliminate most of the knots.
If you put the cream yarn on the floor it will wind easier. I have an electric winder also and I prefer my hand winder.

Go!😂 I noticed in the review videos they show the yarn positioned lower than the winder. I like that you can adjust the speed. I can get one since it's not yarn!😂

Thanks for letting me know I will look at the video. I didn’t see the video I just read the reviews. I was given a tip to put the big cone on the floor and that should help it unwind. If not I’m going to have to make a ball the old fashioned way 😂.
I bought one in purple a few months ago. I like it. You just need to be careful of how the yarn is positioned or else it will come out funny. Hope you enjoy it 😊

I guess I meant to use TENSION instead. If the yarn is not wrapped securely around the spring mechanism, then the yarn won’t wind correctly and can go in different directions. I wish I had a picture to show but I’ve gotten better at paying attention to make sure it’s secure. Hope that explains it better.
@@Purpleyarnie I understand what you mean. I started out slowly to make sure the yarn is wrapping properly then increase the speed as I did in the video.
I had the Boye electric winder but it began smoking so I need to have my friend look at it. I was looking an upgraded one because cranking by hand is not cutting it for me.

Do you know where I can find cotton yarn on the cone like you have there I need them for making clothes and bedspreads 2 or 3 weight 100% cotton or 60-40 . Any ideas would be appreciated. My electric yarn winder was all in one 11 years ago from JoAnn that you placed on the table. Why all these pieces from Amazon that you have to clip on the table? 🙄

Wow, that is really neat! I have a hard time hand cranking mine too Mrs. Penny because of a shoulder, neck & back injury. I'll have to check this out. It would be so much easier to use this. I wonder if you put your extra large cream color yarn on the floor so its alot lower than the yarn winder if you would have better results. When using my hand crank winder that attaches to the table I always put the yarn in a bowl on the floor that I'm winding. Maybe give it a try to see if it helps. Thanks for showing this, I didn't know about this product. 🤎😊
