In regards to the computer specs, BTD6 only utilizes a single core. Your GPU has very little impact on the performance of the game. You want a CPU with a high boost clock, and a lot of instructions per cycle. And to the people who might be wondering why BTD6 isn't multi-threaded, it is likely because there wouldn't actually be a lot of performance gain from it and would introduce a bunch of bugs. Think of it like this: if you put a bunch of chefs into a single kitchen and they all want to make the same soup it will take the same amount of time to cook, and the chefs might accidentally put twice as much spice in because they didn't know the other chefs already did.
I'm fairly sure that there must be some way to parallelize the execution of the game, like spreading the balloons between threads or grouping certain kinds of checks together That said, it would take insanely long to implement, and it's not like the game was ever designed to continue into hundreds of rounds anyway. So, it's extremely unlikely to change unless they make BTD7.
The fact that you take all this time out of your days, AS A STUDENT, is just insane. Amazing video as always, keep it up man, can't wait for all of the modded paragons!

The lag is caused by the calculation. Turning off projectiles will help a little, but the main problem is the calculations for the damage and bloon hp and that sort of stuff
In other exponential growth games, they shave off the digits at the end and round all the values to make it easier to calculate, the numbers are so big anyways, nobody is gonna notice. I think Bloons could do the same, when there is enough projectile hitting one target, just calculate all the damages at once instead of each separately.
The thing is that the particle effects COULD cause lag, but his gpu prolly hangs around 15% while recording and everything. It’s mostly because the game is single threaded so it takes time for all those calculations to go through a single core.
You can just use the ambush option for tech bots and set it a section of the track that only the BADs reach. Shouldn't be that hard to manage until you have to worry about not hooking in the ones that aren't fortified, but fortunately, nothing below a BAD will waste the ability.
11:32 you can stack pools on top of each other, you can use Middle path Ice monkey next to pools and you can stack alot of pools on top of each other, the good news is that as soon as you place aton of pools on top of each other, you can place towers within each other and you can stack them infinitely without mods

It appears that the paragons are degree 100 as despite Magus Perfectus's hat color looking like the degree 1 hat, the dark phoenix looks like the degree 100 dark phoenix. The ascended shadow also attacks with black and white shurikens, which is unique to the degree 100 ascended shadow.

A new computer won’t help unless your single core performance increases on your CPU. The game utilises only one core on your CPU which is horrible for optimisation, so more cores won’t help at all
11:25 that was actually a bug which allowed you to put as many towers as you like on top of each other using the portable lakes. I think they fixed it a while ago, I dot r eme we who made a video showing how to use it (Maybe ISAB)

@lucahalluin971 if there's no bads on the screen, and the automatic pull in isn't available (it does have a slight cooldown), the actual ability will pull any blimp. So, setting the tech bots to ambush will not waste the actual ability.
Just one thing I want to recommend for the videos is to have something like a barbers pole illusion (those spiral things that look like they're constantly moving up, often found outside barber shops) off to the side so that to the viewers they can tell if the video lag is from their computer/wifi or just you recording low framerate. btw when you record videos on obs you should use .mkv because it supposedly has better crash/corruption protection than .mp4

You can fix the wasted hook issue by setting a trigger point on your Tech Bots to only activate when a bloon gets to a certain point. Because Navarch of the Seas already has an instakill ability that is NOT tied to an ability, only BADs should ever get past the entrance. This would ensure the hooks get used only when BADs are out.
wanted to leave some optimization tips here: 4GB patch might help a lot turn up the priority for bloons in the tasks manager This'll make things a little bit smoother at least

To stack buccaneers, you put a lord of the abyss mermonkey on the boat. It lets you place water towers on land. I haven't tried this out myself but I think it will work.
Really makes me wish Ninja Kiwi would enable a feature that allows the CPU to share processing with the GPU, use parallel processing, etc. for late game lag situations. As MackanRules pointed out, BTD6 handles projectile calculations with the CPU alone, which really limits performance.
Do every tier 100 paragon on one map, each one not filling the whole map, one of each vanilla paragon, probably on logs, vs all the vanilla tier one paragons
fun fact: the accessibility options dont do anything because they dont remove the projectiles, it just makes them EXTREMELY small, they all are still there and your computer still has to think about them, you just cant see them cause they're too small.
really hope bloons gets an update that can like set the physics into a simple mode when it detects a large amount of lag where it stops calculating the physics of every shot and just approximates damage based on vicinity to towers and other bloons

Blooms uses single threading, so every action, like projectiles firing, blooms spawning, towers upgrading, and literally everything else happens one at a time, so when there are a lot of actions happening at once, the game increases the time between frames to run all the actions, making it incredibly laggy, no matter what pc you have

This changes a bit with paragons actually, they have complex 3D models and particle effects that lag when you have 100 of them.

mkv is more protected from crashes and im pretty sure can record audio tracks separately but sadly the file size is a lot bigger
