@@edp2506 Yeah i always have a soft spot for homegrown players so i have Pete a ton of chances and ended up giving up on him after his at bat in the 7th striking out but that home run quickly ended my negativity towards him. He solidified himself in Mets history !
It is nice to see our guys handle winning in a classy fashion. Pete shouted out Devin Williams and Mendoza led by giving props to Milwaukee. As frustrating as it was to watch some of these games, they deserve all the credit in the world. I appreciate being able to root for guys like Lindor and Mendoza and Pete. Sportsmanship may seem easier when you win, but showing respect can be forgotten in the excitement for sure. Feels good to be a Mets fan for a lot of reasons right now. I am proud of the team, regardless of how we do against the Phils.

The amount of heartburn they caused for all of us collectively has to be recognized in the most positive way possible... but in the end, the Mets stood on top. LFGM!!!!!!!!
People were so hard on pete (and granted he had a down year by his standards) but a down year being 34 homers and 88 RBIs is wild. Most homers and RBIs in the mlb since he debuted…hope he is locked up for years, and people forget the previous seasons he had the most homers in the last 3 innings in baseball. Man was clutch af before this year, hope Pete is a met for life. No one in the free agent market is close to being better

what all these guys are saying tells me that there’s been a serious investment in actual coaching, teach these powerful men how to tame their thoughts and become one with the process. if this is what Stearns does no wonder we’re doing so well.
I keep saying, if it wasnt for their exact lack of hits. They would not have had the top of the order going in the 9th for pete. Credit to lindy and nimmo and the rest for keeping it vlose all game though but man its as storybook as it gets.
