Love this introduction from Pastor Jeff! My notes from this introduction: My notes: 7 areas of life health to evaluate and address in 2025: 1. Spiritual health 2. Mental health 3. Physical health 4. Social health 5. Emotional health 6. Financial health 7. Impact health “What are you doing for others?” MLK 3 Challenges: 1. Verse memorization - today is my “life verse” (see below) 2. Be encouraged 3. Prayer over us - his flock of listeners Teddy’s Life Verse Luke 9:23-26 The Cost of Discipleship 23 And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me. 24 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, this is the one who will save it. 25 For what good does it do a person if he gains the whole world, but loses or forfeits himself? 26 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory and the glory of the Father and the holy angels. What do you need to “deny” within yourself to complete the 40-day challenge? What “cross” do you need to “take up daily” that was too difficult to carry in your previous attempts to complete the challenge? What problem did you have “following me” - the staff’s rules and ordinances that stopped you from completing the challenge? Are you 100% committed to deny yourself, pick up your cross and follow the staff to the completion of the 40-day challenge this time?
