George_George, geroge from the jungle watch out for that tr... last corner! In both countries! Hahaha Love it. Thinking hard of upgrading from DR2.0 and WRC9 to EAWRC. The stages look fantastic!
I re downloaded Dirt Rally 2 last night after downloading this pack. I had honestly forgotten just how good DR2 was. Both the stages and the game dynamics are miles clear of of WRC - it's just much more connected. WRC has an abiding wooly feeling, I think it may be an Unreal Engine thing.
I totally agree. Unreal Engine simply DOES NOT WORK for sim racing, and just ask Assetto Corsa Competizione and its problems with FFB and the "poor" graphical style offered by this engine. In fact, it is no coincidence that the prequels of both games are better in terms of graphics and feel.
Played DR2 and I kinda agree, overall I much prefer WRC, but what I think gives the connected feeling in DR2 is just the atmosphere of the stages and the lighting. Codies did a major step in the enviroment part of the new stages, trees specially, are a big step up. That might only be me but, the lighting in DR2 is just fantastic, the way it penetrates through the forests and the overall lighting is just fantatic. Personally, on an Xbox Series S, I feel like the graphics overall on WRC are considerably better, tho some effects like wet surfaces and rain overall is much better on DR2. One thing which, at least on a controller, is MILES better in WRC, is the handling, its surprising how much feedback WRC has, again on a controller, you only truly appreciate once youve back to backed the titles.
haha that crash at the end, i've done that a few times. love Poland myself, in the H2, H3 and Group B rwd, its insane, takes some skill just to keep on track
Way better sense of speed and a bit better view of the surroundings. Honestly, if the sense of speed was as good in the cockpit view, I would use it all the time.
@@peepopoo4387Poland maybe... 2.0 doesn't look better in general though, it's way more cartoony in terms of colour. NZ looks more like NZ in WRC than 2.0. Australia is super red/orange, not realistic. Finland has major fog and doesn't look like Finland, but neither does WRC. Codies can NEVER get Finland right. It depends on what conditions you set really, some times look bad, some look not so bad. In general they are awful at making games look realistic, and this proves it wasn't just EGO. Colour-grading wise, Seb Loeb rally evo wins for me. Australia, Finland, Sweden, Wales, San Remo, all look great in that game.
@@jpcarsmedia yeah, I think they need to break from the yearly model where possible. I understand there are contracts in place and they are likely bound to making new games annually, but NCAA proved that there is potential for a better product when the devs can be left to cook.
Why would you be worried? The whole point of this DLC was adding the 2024 WRC Season so they didn't have to do an annual release. If any other company did this, we would say "thanks, guys," but instead all I see is fear-mongering and negativity and that's not directed solely at you.
It's what the license asks for. That doesn't mean they aren't cooking something in the background to launch later. F1 has two dev teams working on alternate years, so they really have a couple of years. Saying that, F1 team is bigger. It feels like WRC team is barebones. If WRC25 is simply another content drop... we'll know for sure this is as good as it will get... and the game will never reach its potential.
To be honest, while I agree with you generally speaking, i believe that yearly updates can be manageable for the devs. I would argue that they have done the bear minimum. In one year we got 2 rallies and 5 cars, and the game still has performance issues, poor vr implementation, no triple screen support, no physics/ffb update. Let's see how year 2 goes, but I'm kinda fed up of unfinished games that took years to be considered presentable.
try locking your framerate to something like 120 or 60 worse case scenario on like gpu controll panell for this app only.. i believe they didnt fix the stutter issue wrc had since like 9 or something. its because game physics is supposably locked to a frame rate , so when pushing at 144 everything under that will feel like jittery and all over the place (as it then starts to compensate graphics for phisics kind of.. ). I didnt have my rig tv 120hz capable so 60fps lock in my nvidia for wrc.exe fixed it. cant remember if i then left vsync on or off ingame. theres also a redit post about it i think
It was out of WRC for 5-6 years. both KT and EA WRC games are officially licensed, so they have same countries championship has. EA WRC was made with 2023 season, when Poland was not part of championship and this expansion adds 2024 content.
It's time I jump back on this game and see if it's improved. Still a HUGE SHAME what EA took and did to the Epic Dirt Rally 2.0...sad but this is all we have left. I have a 5800X3D and a 4090 and this game still jitters. Can you tell I hate EA! lol another good informative video Mikey!

Only thing about going back to Dirt Rally is how bad tarmac feels. Beyond that, the game is not worse in any way

I don't get it why everyone is using the Easy bonnet Camera and not the Realistic Cockpit?

@@kOBR4one U have a point, domu play with blur on or off ? Because that makes difference in sense of speed.
Strange color grading from codemasters, doesn't look like Poland more like Africa
Ya, the weird color grading is probably the worst part of the game and why DR 2.0 looks better.

I prefer Poland and me being Polish has absolutely nothing to do with it 😅
I am kinda worried about yearly releases for WRC. EA should let the devs cook for longer. Otherwise the game's quality could drop.

dude, what? This is EA WRC, it's not a KT racing game. They ended with WRC Generations. The stutters are from unreal shader caching (or lack thereof).
only RBR.
Why is Poland an expansion when it has always been in the base game through every wrc iteration?
