Hey Jambalaya! Have you checked out the new video on Market Structure Basics? Here's a link: ruclips.net/video/cTH5eGHEbMU/видео.html&ab_channel=TrendSpider There are a handful of ways the Zig Zag indicator can be used to identify these setups! Check out the scanners in the platform labeled '#marketstructure'. Feel free to tune in for an Office Hours session, as well. Jason can answer any additional questions you have!
As many traders know, the basics of trend say that in an uptrend, the price is making higher highs and higher lows and in a downtrend, the price is making lower highs and lower lows. A market structure shift is represented by a level on the chart where the previous trend is broken. If the price is in an uptrend, the market structure shift level is where a lower low is made. If the price is in a downtrend, the market structure shift level is generally going to be at a point where a higher high is made. In both cases, market structure shifts tend to occur on the heels of a displacement. (Copied from TrendSpiders blog post about ICT methodology).
I read the text version of this guide after it appeared in a google search about something to do with ICT; as one of his students I thought I'd have a quick look, and unsurprisingly, there is lots of misinformation. These companies often take a perfunctory look at ICT's material and try to reduce an extremely complex methodology that takes years of studying to truly understand down to a few minutes with no apparent regard for if they're even getting it right. If you want to begin learing ICT's trading system, start somewhere else. It's free to learn anyway.
Thank you for the great/quick overview and some scan/indicator thoughts.
Thank you!

I don't think he could get more simple.
Ok so why isn't price reversing after taking out the 9:50am liquidity at 11:50am? It looks like it continues. What's the difference? Is it just time?
Thanks for the video! Quick question: why did you label the MSS at that level?
