Well done, you are on of those rare people that's actually finished a project! Congratulations and looking forward to the "registration" video and seeing a bit of out and about! Cheers!

Thanks for your continued support! Its currently registered, im collecting video now of this. She runs like a dream. Now its only problem is the terrible fuel economy, averaging 14-17 litres per 100km!

I make that 3 imp gallons to 62 miles = 20 mpg which is very good. I own a 1969 420G and although I have never tested the mpg I would reckon it is in the late teens 17-18 mpg. I have owned may jaguars over the years and have found 21 mpg from a twin carb 3.4 or 3.8 was good.

@ I heard the XJ6's were about that on fuel too, i think the kerb weight and carburettor setup has alot to do with it. This car being two tonnes, brick wall aero and wearing triples on the biggest six cylinder engine available all compounds to just poor economy. 21mpg would be a dream to achieve but its just not that sort of car.

Now that the transmission is running OK, I suggest yet another fluid change.ive used pirtek as well . very happy with them

i agree, but itll have to wait since transmission fluid is very expensive. I used basically the entire 20 litre DexIII container ($160!) flushing out the Model 12. I know its cheaper than it requiring a rebuild but its still a fair expense right now.
However, that being said, the transmission cooler on the P76 ive discovered has breached the radiator and it has milkshaked its BW35 and contaminated the cooling system much to my annoyance. Ive bought another trans cooler for that car and ill need to do a fluid change on that too, so it might be sooner than i expected to do another set of trans fluids lol. Hopefully not too much damage has been done.
I got a ridiculous quote from Pirtek a few years back which made me hesitant to go back, but once they actually had the part in their hand they could give me a proper quote for the order. Im very satisfied with their turnaround, their price and the material quality used in recreating the part so id recommend them too and use them again. Thanks for watching.
