I wonder, should the units spawned by glevig count? i mean, surely they are not static, but locusts also are not and they follow the same principle, a timed unit spawned by a static defense.
Because Carriers don't HAVE to be immobile to attack. That's what makes a unit static d. I'd kinda argue that Swarm Hosts / Creeper Hosts don't really count since they can move and spawn at the same time.
@@rozmarinideas5340 That's my point - for the most part CtG was using units for his defense more so than structures, where said units either had a setup mode (tanks, liberators, lurkers) or spawned free units (hosts). He was constantly moving them around to defend or even attack waves/thrashers - with all those considered there is a selection bias as there is no consistent metric by which unit/structure qualifies as a "static defense". By that logic any unit that spawns free units or needs to stand still to attack qualifies, which makes A LOT of other commanders and units eligible.
@@Jedrex899 Rather than disqualifying units for being able to attack and move, CtG is only qualifying units if they can attack without being able to move; he hasn't picked any units that can't enter some kind of siege mode (and when he has picked a unit that has an attack outside of a siege mode he has chosen not to use it). Afterall, spore and spine crawlers can move around so should they NOT be considered static defense? As CtG mentions in the video and the first commenter referenced, he's aiming for units that can ignore an f2 a move, which a carrier on hold would start moving to follow.
I am so hyped up for Mengsk.

Dehaka can do any build, he is another level lol
Dehaka can do no build
Why did you skip Fenix? If you go for all the unit-based defense then Carriers on hold position above cannons act the same as swarm hosts.
F2

@jsaw6947 I that case, I'd agree with you. This defence ain't really 'static'

Stop hating on Karax.
