    I know it's too early to make predictions of potential " legendary " greatness but IMO of the next generation talk we've had for about 5 years now , there's no young player who has shown the kind of maturity, shot selection, movement, power, aggression, finesse , and tenacity of Alcaraz. All 3 of the GOATS Roger and Rafa in particular and then the Djoker showed potential of greatness early during their debuts but they took a while to really show their full arsenal. Roger being the only exception of the other two, where he had Every shot on every surface but was still working on improving his footwork. Rafa showed only clay courts mastery for years before translating it to other surfaces and Djoker being perpetual number 3 , unable to breakthrough until 2011 with the exception of 1 major in 2008.
    Alcaraz although hasn't won big yet, shows to have FastTracked past all the early stages of the 3.

    Alcaraz, so many options, so many weapons, so many ways of attacking and defending. Very fun to see him play. Thanks for this.

    I love Alcaraz' pluckiness. If the momentum turns to his opponent, he turns it right back. Like against Nadal in Madrid. I thought he was surely done after Nadal took the second set, but nope!

    Hi Ryan, I love your videos. Can you do a video breaking down the running forehand? I don't know what the right sequencing is, and I feel all tied up and twisted when I try to hit them, even just trying to hit a simple crosscourt neutral or defensive ball.

    It is refreshing that Alcaraz played a sabotage style tennis thus not giving the opponent the time to get into a rhythm...
    Also the type of strings and tension influenced his shots?..it is interesting to know what type of strings and tension that he prefers...

    Thanks, but previous video recommended DTL for such a volley, no?

    • @2MinuteTennis
      @2MinuteTennis 2 года назад +1

      Good catch! This volley was made right around net level so he was ok to hit CC. If it’s a very low volley/half volley then DTL is best. Great eye Timothy!

    • @2MinuteTennis
      @2MinuteTennis 2 года назад +1

      Pause the video at contact and you’ll see the ball is right around net height at contact. Nothing like an ankle height volley/half volley. Thanks again Timothy!

  • @LubaLuba1
    @LubaLuba1 2 года назад +1

    Ryan topspin is not really top its more like 1pm and kick serve too slice is like 2pm and your marker illustration is going in the wrong direction for rotation on the axis of CA's ball. And Nadal is not getting out of the way he's setting up for the shot very typical. Now the reason Nadal returns to center because he's thinks CA's going to hit downline. But using your advice of previous video about strategy you said to mirror your opponent.

    Alcaraz is the new Michael Jordan for Tennis , and his coach Juan Carlos Ferrero is the new Phil Jackson

  • @morespinach9832
    @morespinach9832 2 года назад

    Interesting but I don’t think he was thinking that. Nadal could have hit down the line on the right, and Alcaraz would have been in trouble.

    Don't understand. This is just basic tennis explained complicated. A kick serve, a forehand, actually a bit short, then a wrongfootimg shot, and a volley. That was it.
