there's reasons why idols didn't talk much about their family, one of them is for safety reasons. i mean, if their fans not bother their family whether on the internet or irl (ex. stalking and going to the idols' parents house) i think they can talk more open about their family. but of course they need their family's permission for this as well since korea in general care about privacy so much

I have to take Dad's side here. Sieun was being really bossy and rude to him. I'm guessing since it's a "reality" show that she was told to nag him and he just took it sheepishly.
