lliman is a smart boy and well supervised. He'll stay with us for the end of the season. The only thing I wish is promotion and one more season with him in PL.

And we haven't got him tied down to a new contract. If he signed a new contract, it wouldn't ultimately prevent him from leaving if the worst was to happen - but at least we could up the asking price. You want him to do well in the WC, but you also hope he'll stay under the radar - it's a dilemma.

It could be not just the Prem big boys, but overseas clubs too. It'd be hard to blame him if his head was turned by the offer of bigger bucks on a bigger stage. Of course I hope he stays, Utd aren't the sort of club that gets a young player with a rich vein of talent coming along every other week. And he's the sort of player you look to build a team around with complementary players.
