We have been so lucky to have such an exceptional woman as our Queen for over 60 years. She has brought Stability, Security, World Balance, Fortitude, and Kindness, to her role. She truly is Exceptional. Hopefully, she will truly "know" that she is loved beyond measure, "before" she passes. She has done her "job" well, and we are Grateful With Love, From Montreal, Canada.

However the royal standard should have been raised at Buckingham Palace at half mast, dispite the fact she was not in residence, as soon as the death of Diana was announced. Earl Charles Spencer is a game changer. He is leading the way for other noble families to open their estates and castles to the public. I was aware that his father was eqerry to the Queen and his brother in law was or still is one of the Queens private secretaries. I have a personal history interest as two of my ancestors Wynyard were equerry and aide de camp to Geo's 3 and 4

Earl Spencer looks just like my brother! And ironically, I found out about a year ago, that my family is distantly related to the Spencers. My paternal grandmother's family descended from the Russells....I guess that's how we're related. Cool! My grandparents came to Canada from England just over a hundred years ago, so I've always liked British history.

She and her children have duel citizenship (Canadian & British) as Autumn is a member of The British Commonwealth of nations and did not have to renounce her Canadian citizenship to marry Mr. Phillips.

The House of Spencer is considered very high grade aristocracy in the 🇬🇧, probably even higher than the Windsor House considering the Spencer are older and have been nobility in England for much longer.

@@parkrein1237 Prince Charles will ascend the throne one day. The only ways he would not ascend are 1) through some kind of severe mental and or physical condition that'll prevent him from effectively carrying out his official duties and if once he ascends and at any point he's deemed incapacitated in any way, more than likely, Prince William will be named as his regent, and 2) if he were to predecease his mother. He will not abdicate otherwise in favor of Prince William. That's how the line of succession works.

Deanna Milnor - It's actually pronounced 'AWLtrupp'. The pronunciation of many of these old, English names bears no resemblance to their spelling, partly through local dialect. For example, Cholmondeley is pronounced CHUMley, and Beaulieu (French) is anglicised as BEWley. Others have been changed through snobbery. If you've seen the TV programme "Keeping up Appearances" you'll know that Mrs Bucket insisted her name was booKAY.

It was her Grandmother, lady in waiting to HRH The Queen Mother, and his Grandmother, who both schemed and plotted to make Diana the front runner in the 'royal' marriage stakes. By 1980 the Spencer's had cultivated royal friendshipss and were the Boleyn family of their day. The Spencers were devastated when lady Sarah fell out of favour and ruined her chances of marrying Charles, by talking freely to the press about a possible marriage proposal. So it then fell to Diana to capture a Prince. When Diana expressed her growing pre wedding concerns to her Sisters they replied " you cant back out now, your face is on the tea towels".

I have always been of the opinion that Harry 'reached back a generation'; never that his 'seed' came from anyone outside the family.
I think it's hard for people to consider in-family resemblance b/c Lady Sarah is rarely if ever seen.....rarely photographed in public.

She was Diana, Princess of Wales following her divorce similarly to how all titled divorcees are allowed to use their titles. In life she was simply HRH The Princess of Wales. You can use the first name if you use the numeration as well... Charles, 9th Earl Spencer.
