My favorites: 1. Ryk - Oh Boy (he already has been in the preselection years ago but he did not make it) 2. Bodine - Tears Like Rain (she has a beautiful voice)
Oh Boy is indeed the song that Germany's been looking for to have another Michael Schulte result in Eurovision!! Such an amazing track, so captivating, a slick production with so many layers to it and it gets better by each second! And Ryk is a great singer live so I'm not worried about the vocal performance, he just needs an amazing and well thought staging! It kinda gives me Repondez-moi vibes, so with an inspiration from Gjon's Tears' staging in Rotterdam, Germany might be on the way to be a jury winner contender this year and give France a run for their money!

I agree with the opinion that Ryk is probably the best choice for Germany to send in terms of ensuring a good result, BUT my favorite song is absolutely 100% "Katze". I WOULD LOOOOOOVE for that to be the song they send and to see just how fun the staging and choreo would be. I think It would be in my top 10. It's also way more of a standout to me just due to to the slinky sneaky production and groovy quirky vibe it has to it, while not veering into joke territory.
Love Galant "Katze" as number 1. it's just so very German and stylish...... but also Ryk "Oh Boy" (possibly nr1), Leona "Undream You", and Bodine Monet "Tears like Rain".. :)
Fun fact: Elsie Bay co-wrote both Krick's "Drowning in the Rain" and Leona's "Undream you", so if those two end up representing Luxembourg and Germany respectively, that would be interesting.

I think Tears could do well in an Emile de Forest way but overall I think it also just has the strongest pop hook of the selection Oh boy I think has a great chance to do well in the same vein as Gjon’s Tears but it is very similar to the kind of music Mustii from Belgium makes so there’s a chance they could cancel each other out And I know I’m crazy but love on a budget is my personal pick 😅 take this from someone who had friend of a friend as their number one pick in 2019 I just love this type of upbeat cheesy guy pop.

What happened to all the rock/metal/hiphop/electronic acts that applied? I am disappointed so far. Not saying all are bad, but they lack a certain edge, it feels like playing safe. I only really like Isaak.
