It's not a Downshift/Upshift, he pushed the kickdown button too late. If you put the pedal to the floor without pushing the kickdown button it will only downshift one gear, if you also push the kickdown button it will downshift two gears.

EDIT: I might be wrong. According to wikipedia it is an N55. So it is related to the M2 and other 35is. It is not the same engine as in the 40is, though.
You show an M emblem on the front fender at the Detroit show and represent this as the "NEW" X4M40i. I just bought one and the M emblem is missing. I would like BMW to give me the car it advertises at a US (Detroit) auto show as that is the car I expected to receive. Please provide me the emblems as this is not the dealers responsibility

I have the X5 35i with the N55 and M Sport. It sounds identical but this thing picks up faaaaaster! 💨
