The movie is absolutely amazing. The plot was so refreshing and Hero is simply awesome. HIs emotions tell a story that can be told be no other. I want the world to watch this movie just for the sake of understanding and living love.
You got it and I agree, it needs to be a series. It is SOOOOOOO realistic. Would love to see how he proposes to Ann and scenes around the reactions. Some men can get pretty creative with proposals even 20 years ago. I have yet to see a movie that included the time after the proposal and all the fun stuff that goes with it. I remember how I reacted when I was engaged 20 years ago. It would also be great to see how his parents bounce back from Mr. Albright going back to work. If anyone lived through 2008 and financial crisis, you can relate. Being in love through those times will test any relationship.
I expected something much different because of the AFTER series which was full of the energy of straight forward expressions of love. The subtlety took some getting used to for me about the Jim and Ann characters. But then the storyline was great in FIRST LOVE. But I came away at the end wanting longer scenes with Jim and Ann and less of the parents even though they were first loves too. Their problems kind of got in the way of the romantic flow of the storyline for me. Also it ended to soon with the wedding. I just needed a bit more of them enjoying their wedding and marriage finally for the ending. When his dad gave his best wishes speech it ended abruptly. Like …..Yo…. What happened?? Curious minds want more of the story! Cliff hanger misery instead.
