Sadly on Mac it doesn't allow import of dxf files and on windows I can see the shape before clicking ok at 3:56 but once I click ok - it is not imported at all :(
DXF import isn't a robust process currently in Plasticity, it doesn't take much to fail. You can't just grab a DXF off the Web and pray it works. The skulls on the side I had to run through illustrator with this process to get it to work. Really I'm just waiting for SVG import, then we won't have to mess with DXF process
thank you very much
You are welcome
not exactly a poly saver but certainly a cool and easy way for quick presentations like you said..
True, poly saving isn't the goal. Quick easy Presentations in Plasticity or in Renderer with procedural materials. I'm Lazy and don't want to UV lol

Thanks for this decal approach. I was thinking to export vector as SVG, but your approach is a worth to try.
SVG was the way I wanted to do, but Plasticity didn't recognize them yet. Guess it's a future update
@@Glenn3D1993 Great video!
FWIW... I just used Inkscape to export a 2D vector image as a DXF and Plasticity imported it perfectly.
@sadkingbilly4531 Cool! Hopefully we'll get SVG support soon, might make workflow easier
