Yeah I agree with you that it's very different, kinda jarring how out there the style of this one is. I think it's definitely deliberate though, since both the characters are so abstract. I wasn't too sure on the first watch, just cause it's a lot to take in, but goddamn I really like it now, the visuals are insanely good and the characterisation is on point.
Gastor didn’t even deem Spot WORTHY OF ATTENTION for a good chunk of this. Even when Spot did get his attention Gastor was just so disappointed. “You were less than I predicted”. “How poorly you faired” Gastor thought Spot wasn’t worth paying attention. Gastor thought Spot was such a failure he even says again “less the I predicted.” Like damn…
