I appreciate your honesty. So many people by a new machine and first thing they do is put on larger, heavier tires. Not a good idea. That's called, unsprung weight, and it robs horsepower while putting more strain on your drive train. Different gearing is the correct way to go when putting on larger tires.
What about going from 29" to 32" on a 2021 RZR XP 1000? I put them on for the last trip and high gear is now useless, lots of squealing. I stayed in 4wd and low all day. I'm afraid to ride it like normal, paranoid about the belt. Should I do a clutch kit or is the 3" difference plus people and gear out of range for the clutch kit? Once again, I love your content, learn something new every time.
I run 32” system 3 xtr 370 on my 2020 xt hd10 Used the dalton kit with helix found no weights added to the arms works the best. Also run a 93 octane tune. No complaints here !!! I know the limited cab is way heavier for sure by how much ?
So does this mean even the XMR models are not geared differently for the stock 30’s? I was always under the impression the XMR’s were geared differently for the tires and mud focused design…
I have not looked them up but I would assume they are geared lower but to match the tires that come on them and that is a guess since I have not looked the parts diagram for that tranny yet
I think the world of hunterworks, but have to kinda disagree on this one, I have had 2 limited with xtr370 32s a 44lb tire on them both 4 door, I have had them in the mtns of Tennessee and wv with great power, the can-am is actually geared a lot lower than Polaris anyway. When I say great power, the 32s did take some outta it , but machine will run 65 mph no problem with 5 people in it, never smoked a belt or broke a belt, no clutch kit, only loss I really feel is that mid range omph, just my opinion
I am glad you are happy with your set up however I make videos after hearing the same complaints over and over and then I want to address it instead of either typing out a long answer or staying on the phone so long so I can just send this video. Exceptions to rules do not change the rule for sure.
I understand and have a lot of respect for you, have called you for advise myself, mainly was saying can-ams are geared a lot lower than Polaris, think that’s why they carry 30s better

so if one does go to a 32 or 33, what would be the appropriate fix in your eyes?
Gear reduction

So, the Heavy Duty (HD10) is more of a Limited Duty? 🤔
Maybe, I love ours but we keep 27" tires on it.

@@p.t4769 Actually they are not, the newer polaris with 30 are geared for them
