Now the engine that he used is an actual LSX block (not in the series of motors but the actual name). The LSX block was designed to take power levels up to and over 2,500BHP, while the block you can buy new for under $3,000. This engine could probably be put together for less then $20,000 and it was said in an article that it is making north of 1,400BHP.
I read that they went for an LS engine beacuse they had no time for wait the components for the VR38 to arrive while the LSX components were ready to be shipped and plenty.
Love the engineering and workmanship gone into this but, why the F would you take out a hand built VR38 and put in a shitty crate v8? Thats just criminal
Rather just buy a brand new GTR, can you not just ask Nissan can I a have GTR just the chassis.. I mean complete waste of money all those techs etc. (Just curious)
