A relationship indeed. Only that it’s a relationship (& conversation) between the main character and the voice/personality she hears in her head. Fighting for control.
The incredible thing about this album is that it was written by teens who were 12, 15, and 17 when they started working on it while promoting their first album. They crowd-funded both albums, wrote all the lyrics, composed all the music, rehearsed it, had it recorded independently, and released it independently of major label support. It is a pretty significant work of art for anyone to tackle, let alone a bunch of kids! They were 13, 16, and 18 at this show, the public debut of the whole album. In 2019, they were "discovered" by A&R folks Devon and Jason at Lava Records when they were playing this show at the Mercury Lounge in NYC. They were blown away! Seven months later, the band and Lava came to terms for a contract.
*Queen of the Murder Scene* is a concept album that tells the story of a young woman’s descent into obsession, murder, and madness, exploring her internal battle between light and darkness. By Chapter 3, where *Sinister Smiles* appears as the eighth track, the protagonist’s inner conflict has reached a breaking point. In *Sinister Smiles*, her good and evil sides engage in a tense confrontation, performed as a duet with Pau representing the good side and Dany embodying the evil side. The evil side taunts the good, attempting to push the protagonist further into darkness, even encouraging self-destructive thoughts with the imagery of "staining the water." The lyric about "breaking apart" symbolizes the evil side’s attempt to seize full control of the protagonist’s body and mind, urging her to surrender completely to her darker impulses. This moment reflects the protagonist’s deteriorating state as her battle for control becomes increasingly dire.
So young and so skilled! Something else.... something stunning... never fails.... NEVER! I think it never succed, for a band, to have no bad or lower energy songs, NEVER! I'm 63 and i have watched thousands of rock song in my life... NEVER hear a band making no bad song!!!!
Is that a Mirabel Doll behind you!!! - That doll creeps me out!!!! Thanks for the reaction video. Nice to see some of the older tunes reacted from The Warning.

Haha okay
I would scan quickly TW lyrics that I know an say "Animosity":
"Alive means to be dead
A bullet to the head".
