@@Schony747 There used to be 8 car H sets which were obviously in a push-pull arrangement, now adays they only need 4 car H sets because of well, PATRONIGE ON REGIONAL RAIL IS PRETTY LOW. Like once I was arriving at Wallan station to see a family member that lives out in the country and no-one else on the 5 car Sprinter got off there.
@@Schony747 Back in 2021 I remember when there was like only two VLocity's at Southern Cross, a few days ago in April 2024, I was at Southern Cross and every V/Line train there was a VLocity, shows how far we've come!
A better time, before the current state government thought replacing everything (except for the Sprinters) with a 2 decade old commuter train and putting it on the whole network was a better idea.
@@Schony747 I like the older style VLocity front design as it has more purple, I loved the N sets, last time i went on an N set was to Camperdown for a holiday back in like early 2021 so more than 3 years ago, sadly they are almsot all gone.
Its a bit like a lot of things now a days, this was obviously when people took pride in their workplace and surrounding areas, look at it now. Where's all the ground crews and yard rats { the garbo's of the railways}. It's the same with the loco's, the inside of them just have to function properly so they can be used to make money. The tick tock of B80's engine room. That was bloody aweful to put that up. The engine and engine room is a pig sty, the engine is filthy but it runs, its ok, it'll keep going.Where's the enthusiasm and the pride in your equipment. Nobody cares any more. It's not mine, fuck it, she'll be right all the wrong attitude. You put that image on the show the millions look at and they think is that how they maintain their train's.
“Back in 2012” makes me feel old.
Makes me feel older 😀😀

I've got more Southern Cross somewhere which I'll also post
@@Schony747 great
were both locos powered on those "push-pull trains" or only the leading one?
Both are powering. The extra power is needed for the 6 cars

What was that?
You mean the Vlocity. The design is aging but someone sees value in the design
