I cheated on my husband because of a prank he pulled on me. Now, I deeply regret my actions and want him back.

Solid proof that anything is an excuse as long as they can avoid accountability.

A “cruel prank” ? no it wasn’t , it wasn’t even close to that it was a simple comment made in a lighthearted manner by her husband who she hadn’t even bothered too tell that she didn’t find these jokes funny and they upset her ! So yes she IS 100% the AH .

So you didn't communicate, are conflict avoidant, wanted something different, found a person to project your desires on, while projecting your flaws on your husband, and then used a joke as an excuse to cheat. Yup, even in another country, scumbags gonna scumbag. Glad you'll be single, just the way you actually wanted and your actions proved. PS, it's never a mistake. The series of choices you made to cheat are all right here as your "backstory".

Armchair psychologist time, the reason you got so mad at your husband's joke is you wanted a justification to be mad at him and the reason you vented to this new guy is you wanted to clue him in to shoot his shot. Long story short you got bored and decided to do all this instead of actually facing and trying to fix the problem. My bill will be in the mail

I was expecting it to be some kind of cruel prank, but it seems that OP was just looking for a excuse to bed her Co-worker

No. She was bored and resentful and instead of having a conversation about her feelings, she felt a joke, more like a comment, was validation for her had behaviours.

Relax - it's fiction. These people don't exist. Not sure about that? Listen to the descriptions, elaboration. No one tells a story like that unless you're writing fiction

13:30. Unfortunately you have killed the spirit and soul of your husband. Instead of looking at you and feeling peace, safety and love, he will from now on only see and feel pain and rejection and feel the shadow of Lucas whenever you try to get close to him. The marriage is probably dying and cannot be saved.

You cheated? Yes your the A hole. Men understand loyalty and respect you screw with either of those and your toast. Understand that there's nothing more fierce or ruthless than a man fighting for his dignity and self respect! If he's a normal man prepare to be single again and soon. !!

@@SeymourJ.MetzShmuel by saying ESH you're saying both parties were in the wrong. If someone does something wrong and then someone does something back to them it is justified because the other person started it. By saying ESH you admit that the husband did something wrong that affected the situation, inadvertently justifying the response to that wrongdoing. But if you disagree with that why not focus on the first question which was why ESH and what was the Cruel Prank

@@priam2882 You have a very strange sense of morality. If someone forgets your birthday and you burn him to death in retaliation, do you really believe that things are in balance? Being an AH in a small way does not justify cheating.
