Crazy to see another gizz fan that did a jag with humbuckers. (I’m about to do the exact same)

Sounds great man. I like the split coil tones your getting. Which wiring diagram did you use for the coil splits ?

Thanks! If I remember correctly I used a les paul diagram that used 2 push/pull pots for the coil splits, instead of using push pulls I just wired up the 2 way jag switches as if they were the push pull leads.

Dig it! I’ve made a lot of similar mods to my own guitars, have you ever played around with changing series/ parallel wiring and or adding treble bleeds? And if so what are your thoughts on them :]

Haven’t done and series/parallel switching, but I’m thinking about adding a treble bleed for the bridge pickup. I’ll probably replace the tone caps and put in some nice audio taper pots next time I open it up.

@@Gabeg2112 wicked! Modding with tone caps always makes fun experiments! I’ve come to really enjoy 222k and .047uf caps

Hey, thinking of doing this myself, which pickgaurd did you use? Thanks

That’s actually the original pick guard, I just routed the holes to fit humbuckers

Doesn't sound like a Jaguar. I suppose that was the point of changing the pick ups. Looks pretty good.

What I like in the CV Jag is that the wiring is different from other guitars and the pickups are different too.
Doing this mod seems to get away from the Jag sound and make it sound like other 2 humbuckers guitars.
Good mod, but not for Jag lovers IMHO

I love the classic Jag design and sound, I just wanted a unique HH guitar that was specifically modified for my style. Would love to have a stock jazzmaster though..
