‘Oh god aaah!’ (meaning ‘a very vehement Yes’!) - I hope he throws in one of those next time!! My dad (a 69 year old farmer from Somerset) looks and sounds so identical to Phil that it’s uncanny, they must be related. Sunday teatimes watching Time Team with my parents and brothers were the best and Phil was like part of the family. National treasure. So so glad he’s still active and enthusiastic and the knees are going strong!

I think both men have and were (now that sadly Mick is no longer with us) never given the recognition from the British Honours System they so richly deserve. Through television they made archaeology feel accessible for many people in the UK and also educated us on so much of our history. For which I for am grateful. As far as their professional careers go I can only guess how many lives they touched in a positive and lasting way through their work, teaching and kindness. Great to watch you again Phil.

Dear Phil I am so glad you are still alive, I do not think you will ever die. You will slowly turn into a bridge troll, threatening passersby with a stick. Keep on reminding the rest of us that doing the job right is the most important thing. Keep on trucking.

Hi Phil! Hi Phil's Hats! "Found" Phil on TT - binge-watching episodes of which have helped keep my questionable sanity sane during COVID - and am thrilled to find this series! He's a natural teacher, great presentation, can't help but learn while being fascinated as the tells his tales. Lovely to be able to watch him and catch his enthusiasm!

if anyone in Britain deserves a knighthood it is Phil Harding. He has done more for archaeology and bring it to us mortals than anyone else. He has helped us all gain a better understanding of our islands history.

Hi Phil Harding, it is great to see you on the screen again. Thank you for your brilliant video. Very interesting as usual with your easy to understand information and I learnt a lot more about a battle site that I have been interested in since I was a child. Please keep up your excellent work and I look forward to seeing more videos. From Chris in Derbyshire, England.

I love the way Mr Harding tells the tale. I could sit by a warm fire and listen to his tales all night, knowing that this be the truth so long ago. The pleasure of Archaeology.
