The idea of this permmanent multiversal watching unit is pretty much what I had conceived back at season 2 finale, when I was thinking "What the finale could have been". But my version was instead: -Strange Supreme (tactician and mostly support due to his struggle to control his demons, but he will interfere as a last resort); -A version of young Star Lord with his Celestial powers and part of the Infinity Stones' essence (since he doesn't have all the Stones' power, he can't snap the threats away, but he and Kahorri can severely weaken the enemies and strengthen their allies); -Redeemed Hella (team's military leader, she takes the front line) -Kahorri (ground support along with Star Lord); -Peggy (though she's more of the team's negotiator and recruiter, she also protects civilians from the nearby danger and coordinates with whatever power that commands the invaded world).
Byrdie...(Sniffs) They grow up so fast. She's as beautiful as her baby self. Bet her parents are proud, even if a tad worried. I could easily fit her in my imaginary unit. She's Hella's direct partner in frontal combat. As for Storm, as badass as it is to see her as Thor (and even though she's one of my favorite X-Men), it's clear she was put here for marketing only. I don't want to stoop that low. Unless you think Hella would need another front combat partner, that is.
Where was this passion about protecting their order when Infinity Ultron attacked ? Their interference was needed then. Speaking of, I'm a bit torn about getting Ultron on the team, but at the same time, he is mostly a machine, so it doesn't seem fair to judge him like you would a being of the flesh.
Why do the older Watchers look more like the classic one from the comics, while our Watcher has its own look ? I feel like there's some sub-context here, besides showing us he's different from his peers.
His underlying nature makes him closer to being human than the others. He is less conformist and they don't understand why. But that is because they don't understand space and time as well as they have convinced themselves either. It's hubris. Yeah. Marvel is really good at reflecting humanity's flaws but demonstrating how to make the best of that. There is no "Superman" to be found in their stories and that is good. The universe doesn't actually do impeccable; that's always an illusion of limited knowledge or perception.

@ Kahorri and Byrdie, they’re both original characters for this show. Byrdie is voiced by Natasha Lyonne, who’s also in Fantastic Four.
