Thanks, Bryce. The three angles were recorded on separate nights for the RSC's reference. It was only later the producer asked for them to be edited together. If I'd known at the time I'd have shot multiple cameras ;)
in total agreement, but perhaps it was because she had to project her voice and so shouted? nevertheless, its grating and harsh and i wish the actress had been calmer and gentler

Tip for editing in the future. Use one single audio track for the whole scene. I love it, thank you for the upload.
Absoluetly because there are some weird frequencies every time the source of the audio changes !
I am sure people are familiar with it. But the Laurence Olivier version is magical … and with John Hurt.
The music is pure hell.
be careful, viewers who are studying the play.....very radically cut.
Thanq
The sound of the recording is really broken !
Why is Cordelia played so harshly? She sounds like she more loves her own high opinion than her father.

Maybe because she does.
People think there are good guys in Shakespeare. There are no good guys in Shakespeare.
Same here!
Familiar ritual. Imagine Cordelia in Trump's cabinet.
