I'd really love to see the swords buffed. They're easily my favorite wonder weapons just based off their parry mechanics and themes but they fall off too quickly. A regular melee weapon should not be better then the wonder weapons lol. The swords should be able to kill 3 to 5 zombies per swing and their special abilities should always kill no matter the round. Their base damage should be buffed as well so that they are the best weapons to use against the boss. I feel like there should be a further upgrade to them like how the origins staffs are upgradable. The swords are too easy to get as it is so having an addition upgrade quest to power them up would be awesome in my opinion. Everyone starts from the base bastard sword, then picks which element they want to upgrade it to, then they power it up seeing how they can't be pack a punched or anything.
@Weckmon The 30's aren't high rounds. All the regular melee weapons fully upgraded plus melee macchiato will one shot zombies into high rounds. I don't know about the rest but the knife will one hit kill permanently no matter how high the round plus you can put light mend on it which you can't do with any of the swords. And clearly the swords do less damage because it's harder to kill specials and elites with their regular attack then if you just had a maxed out knife. I mean we're watching the same video right? You're telling me the wonder weapon swords are good but the strategy right now is to kill the boss with a power drill 😂
@@SizzledBeef The lion sword while fully charged passively gives you shield for kills like frenzied guard does, and in the event you need to use the special it refills shield+health to full too. Light mend on your knife doesn't come anywhere close to that. But agreed that the other 3 are a bit underwhelming when the lion sword is that OP. Charged lion sword + PhD (do the bartending easter egg) + light incantation (though I prefer Sally's with light mend to keep tactical slot open for fire/shock to melt amalgams), and you're basically invincible. Pop lion special if/when dying wish goes off.

Yo for anyone who doesnt want to use legendary gobblegums I used arsenal accelerator on the 2nd stage after I used my ether shroud to get another charge [USE MUSTANG AND 4th] then used power keg for the final kill with shields up! Pizza I like how I used the sentry gun before anyone posted this and it became the strat. Great minds think alike hahahah🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕

I think the best strat is to run the double aether shroud with the melee keeps you in for longer, you might have to spend around 10 seconds or so not shrouded but it's not overly difficult and you can farm a third charge while he's immune so you don't need gobbles for that one!!
There’s a melee macchiato major augment that increases attack speed, helps kill the boss faster assuming you are doing the aether shroud method and don’t have to worry about dmg otherwise the lifesteal augment might be a better choice
Hopefully they fix the save and quit I saved and quit early on in the ee and it deleted 2 of my swords I had done 10 rounds earlier and I then when I put the stick to start boss fight it never started and my game bugged so I save d and quit and it took me back to the incantation step
If you dont mind using a glitch and have neither of the 2 gobblegums shown in this video, you can use idle eyes gobble gum after activating the boss, When the boss jumps of the thing he stands on in spawn, you can activate idle eyes (just before you get TP'd to the boss room) . Then when you get onto doing the damage to the boss, he will completely ignore you and stand still in the middle of the arena for all 3 phases, which just means you dont have to use 3 shrouds if you cannot get all 3. I done it 5 times and all 5 times its worked, ive been helping people through the egg all day doing this method! If anyone needs help with the egg, just let me know and i'll try get round to giving a few people a hand tomorrow when i wake up :D
I beat the boss using only a sword it took me 45 minutes of constant Parries and slashing ones, and here the drill can absolutely destroy the boss it's really ironic how a normal drill is better than the wonder weapon of the map against him haha.
Boss fight has glitched out 3 times and the orb step, save and quit and had to re do most steps then boss fight glitched out again I give up with this Easter egg

Did it with a 4 man team with the team cloak augment. Boss was down below half health after 1st activation. Waited for immunity to end and killed him in under a minute and he didn’t even get to move.
i got all the way up to when you put the scroll in the statue and then nothing happened. it went in, made a noise, then he just never moved. no zombie spawns or anything. so annoyed because i used a perka too
If Void Sheath works as described in the augments menu, then it's doing nothing for your strat. It extends the duration with kills, not hits. Since all the zombs are running away while you're in Shroud, you aren't getting any kills and thus not extending the duration.
You definitely need to use Expresso or Espresso for the Melee Machiato perk. You melee much much faster with the Drill and you can maximize the most out of Aether Shroud that way. You were attacking so slow it was painful to watch 😂
This is fun and unique but needs to be fixed. This map is all about the swords, so not even bringing one to the boss fight probably doesn’t go with treyarchs ideas for this map
I just tried the boss with the same thing he did in the video, nothing different. couldn't keep my aether shroud up long enough and I think it has to do with kills. And the power drill is not doing as much damage as it was 3 days ago i guess, so my theory is they nerfed the drill already EDIT: I'm about to try and see if the Idle Eyes glitch still works because I'm getting upset that I can't solo this damn boss

So you don’t need any gobble gums for the boss fight, Just use one of the augments for vulture aid that spawns in a cloud that refills your specialist ability There should be more than enough zombies for you to get your ability back
As for Ather shroud you don’t need the void stealth augment it’s completely useless because you’re killing no zombies. So just put the one that increases your time while using it

The swords are far better than any other melee, use melee macchiato and upgrade them and they should be one shotting zombies well into the 30s

it seems to erase the incantations but not the swords if complete. has got me twice now.
Just end the game and start over. It will soft lock your game when you interact to enter boss fight.
