been doing a lot of kitchen/bathroom renos this past couple of years, tail piece 99 percent of the time is short, I always stock up on a 6 inch extender, this current job needed a 12 inch so now I stock up on those too
In my state you cant use a slip nut past the seal of the trap, personally i like this because it forces you to hard pipe sinks, i hate those little plastic tubular traps.
Wow as a oder control tech at a feminine hygiene test facility I have always installed my slip nut bevel downwind of 6 inch extension tube properly inserted into the waste tube.
Amazing how he managed to do all of this without an excessive amount of glue. Somehow my plumbers have never figured that out and I end up having to cut out whole assemblies anytime I need to change something
Nothing amazing about this. Every homeowner should be able to work tubular PVC. Not saying he didn't do a good job, just wondering where the hell glue would even apply here.
Pex through the floor. Really. It kinda irritates me that people think this is plumbing. It's what a hole owner might do with out training. Pex is a failed system . I've only been plumbing since 1985
And a failed system? It’s literally the best thing that’s ever happens to plumbing. Worked as a residential plumber for 2 years. Everyone says it’s amazing.
Or you just use regular old copper cutters to cut the tailpiece to match the ridiculous Chinese p-trap you have... For the love of God at least you have less things that can leak....
That’s what she said 😂
On my way to Home Depot to buy that cutter!!! I don’t need it until next week but I NEED to have it!!!
Miguel gonna be efficient!!

Love..Nice that you both have it…till the end..stay blessed
None of my P traps have rubber gaskets, here in El Paso, is this normal?
Yea, they are common on non-pressurized waste line. I never want an extra coupling anywhere liquid runs thru.

Thankz🎉
I have the same problem.
What happened to the other guy?
It's not going to ever leak without supply lines not hooked up!!!
What does Corey Taylor think of this
If the plumber knew what he was doing you wouldn't need that and would have more cabinet space
I like to use the crap plastic gaskets the kit contains. 😂
Fortunately all the Oatey kits come with rubber washers. But ya, those plastic ones aren’t as good as rubber
I got one of those tools, it's different though because it's mine.
I always wondered how plumbuses are made
That's no accident the manufacturers do that so you have to buy additional parts to complete your job😊

Yeah, I just use a hacksaw

Right, because literally any part of this requires glue. Maybe you’re the problem?
@@syreplays5079 Smooth brained comment, considering I'm not the one using glue on my plumbing.
Plumbus😅

Bro if you’ve been plumbing since 85 you would have gotten over this a LONG time ago. It’s literally industry standard nowadays
And a failed system? It’s literally the best thing that’s ever happens to plumbing. Worked as a residential plumber for 2 years. Everyone says it’s amazing.
As a homeowner, between Pex and Sharkbites I no longer hate plumbing.😊
Bruh get over yourself . Pex is industry standard now. You still on poly b 😂
Only thing a plumber is likely to do is run copper in-between the PEX and valve. That's if they're not getting paid a boat load to install all copper.
Too many tail stock pieces on that, looks dumb
It’s one extension tube which is standard practice
This is a rookie so many joints and water issues down the road .
LMAO
What? This is literally standard practice.
