Just an idea... You should add in a materials list for the people that are building your builds in survival. I myself am building in survival and I constantly find myself running for materials that I need more of or don't have. Thanks!🙌🏻
I started collecting the list of things for this build (minus the end rod as I haven't killed the dragon yet to keep me motivated) a week ago today and just now completed the build in my BEDROCK survival world. So if you're planning on doing this in bedrock, there's a mechanic that won't allow you to stack the anvil, the caldron and the lanterns. Don't bother getting the cauldrons and anvils, I just used one black glazed terracotta for each corner and put the lantern on that 👌 Edit: I was dumb when I made this comment, just crouch when you're trying to place them lol
@@j.h.s.9361 I was wrong and just really noob to building a month ago, go ahead and do it you just have to be crouching when you place the anvil on the cauldron, and the lantern on the anvil
@@mattlong3588 oh no, it’s fine, don’t worry about it!😂 for some reason I still couldn’t get the lantern but it’s fine cause I just used the black terracotta, but thanks anyway

Wow! I just finished the little shrine, now I want to build this one! Definitely going to take some of your interior decoration ideas for the small one as well.
I wasn't able to put lanterns on the anvils so here's a tip for people who are having the same problem, put froglights on them! This place looks really cool in my world, Thank you Cortez!!!
@@elale3517 lol i couldnt play for like a week and was taking long breaks inbetween to do get the resources and other stuff, but im done now !! :) the sea lanterns were probably the most time consuming.
I love this! I personally thought it was a bit too... rustic? for my theme so I swapped some of the blocks out and simplified the pallet a bit but I kept the overall design. I made most of the walls bone blocks with red terracotta accents and stuck with spruce planks for the decor. The inside floor is birch (like tatami mats). I kept the stones in. Planning on super scaling it and building a whole Japanese style village starting with poor tiny houses all the way up to huge castles and shrines (in creative).

suggestions for this build: 1. farm spruce-oak-acacia trees nearby you can harvest if needed. 2. Dark Prismarine and nether brick could replace cobble roofing 3. smooth quartz could replace bone blocks.
Such a Beautiful build, you have talent that just goes straight through the roof!! Thank you for your creative inspiration!! amazing, I might have taken months to come up with something, and it would never have been so beautiful or include the meaningful detail. subscribing right now. 👏👏
I'm playing on the Microsoft version myself. Had no trouble adding the anvil on top of the cauldron, but it won't let me place the lantern on top of the anvil. Have tried crouching, didn't work. Anyone got any ideas/solutions?
I used something else: I placed two normal stone blocks on top of each other and a normal stone slab on top broke the 2nd stone block I placed and place a lantern under the slab hope this was useful?
Japanese is my Favorite Country, I Always learn Japanese . 日本語は私のお気に入りです、私はいつも日本語を学びます And I build a Japanese VILLAGE for 12 hours and I'm Making another one When I'm done Then I'll Make a Korea Village
Haha, yeah, I’ve had that happen many times. Just yesterday, I left my computer with the game unpaused, I was inside a building with the door shut, but that didn’t stop a creeper getting in, as a zombie broke the door, luckily only the floor was damaged, so it was easy to fix. Creepers also blew up quite a lot when I was building Cortez’ Osaka Castle a while ago. At one point I decided to jump off the roof after I heard the hiss so it wouldn't explode, it worked, so I guess it was worth it. I also had to rebuild the entire interior once, after a massive fire destroyed about 90% of it, but that’s another story. You would think after all that, one creeper explosion would feel like nothing, but no, it still sucks just as much as it always has. 😂
I just know I'm going to cry making this. I'm just gonna hope my friends in my survival server hasn't taken all the sea lanterns from the ocean monument we conquered a few weeks ago so I can use it haha xD
normally I screw u at the flooring part and the roof part it was usually the glowstone was not 5 in each side except the entrance like 5 on north then 4 on east and west or more and the roof wouldn't be symmetrical
Im having to build a custom mountain in my base area on the server, and needed a shrine for it this is gonna need a pretty big outcropping so this mountain will be huge x'D but even more cool >:D
Sorry if this might offend you but this is the most acacia that I cut down for a build. I never use acacia. But damn, acacia is the wood that actually fits the most in this build.
Well it’s hard to explain but you can put the cauldron as the video says and the above and behind it put a random block to put the anvil then break the block and the anvil will be on the cauldron
Awesome build but just a correction this is a temple and not a shrine(temple =Buddhism shrine=kamis “gods”) it’s a common mistake to confuse that two as they have minor differences
now I can make a large shrine for her majesty and I know I will need a mod with a Japanese Katana and the uhh... Wakazashi? I can't remember what it's called... anyway
oh god end me, I thought that there was no voice over n stuff but I had it muted, I made alot of it and then I realised that you had to use SPRUCE and not OAK xD
