I really like your take on how he became a villain!! Other villain deku aus just have shigaraki coming at deku’s moment of weakness and convincing him to abandon the ideologies he followed religiously just like that. But you portrayed his struggle to abandon the dreams and expectations he followed his entire life in a very realistic way which made the story all the better. I also loved the small comic relief bits. Keep up the great work!!!
It was so satisfying to see Deku yelling at Bakugo to get out of his room and leave him alone. I doubt Bakugo was really sorry. He was only sorry to be faced with the consequences of his actions.
I wouldn't go that far, since canon has shown a harsh wake up call to Bakugou's egocentric narrative will work and he does regret his past actions (him telling that kid not to look down on people or he won't see his own weaknesses, for example). For all his abuse Katsuki kind of needed Izuku, too. He would never admit it but Izuku is a stable force in his life and what he bases his entire self worth on. He believes he only has worth so long as he's better than someone else and despite himself he does actually trust Izuku. He was the only one Bakugou felt he could go to when he was at the end of his rope, the only one he would admit weakness to. It's an abusive and fucked up relationship, for sure. Bakugou got hella lucky to get a wake up call in canon before he broke or nearly killed someone.

I think the reason villain deku is so popular is because all of us, all of the fans of the show, are all the dekus who never got powers, who never had someone swoop in and help us, give us a hand, who’s karma never found us. we don’t get to be heroes or whatever each of our childhood dreams are, because most people don’t get what makes them happy. At least, that’s why I connect to him so much.

Honestly after this year, it feels like all the dekus of this world are fed up and screaming about the corrupted system of society... and I don’t blame any of them for wanting to go villain when the ‘hero’s’ do nothing. It’s taking a stand to call out the flaws of society, even in a fiction one that seems nicer than ours.

He wanted to help people but if that scene with the slime villain attacking Bakugo didn't happen, if All might wasn't nearby then Deku would probably have become either a villain or just another nobody. I don’t dislike normal bnha, but villain deku has always seemed to bring me more enjoyment to see. If I cared what people on the internet thought about me I would stick a shotgun in my mouth and pull the trigger with my toes.)

So...this is great Your drawings are so crisp, the choice of sometimes having a lot of colors and sometimes few is great. There are so many little details and plot in this one! This idea of Shigaraki and Kurogiri being there for him, playing games, sharing meals, be-friending him is a recruiting tactic I don't think I've seen in a villain! Deku work, so points for originality! I liked that Todoroki teasing too and that last image of him is great! That and the image of Shigaraki telling him that maybe he should stay as he is walking through the portal were probably my favorite art in this. (Also, Shigaraki telling him Kurogiri is his taxi, not Izuku's was great) The song worked perfectly. Also, Nico Collins and now this song...you have the best music taste and I can't wait to see which one you pick next! The pacing of the song worked great for moving the story along and pushing the emotions. The McDonald's saga continues! Edit: Sorry, forgot... I hope you're doing great and I'm excited to see more! Your drawings are so crisp, the choice of sometimes having a lot of colors and sometimes few is great. There are so many little details and plot in this one! This idea of Shigaraki and Kurogiri being there for him, playing games, sharing meals, be-friending him is a recruiting tactic I don't think I've seen in a villain! Deku work, so points for originality! I liked that Todoroki teasing too and that last image of him is great! That and the image of Shigaraki telling him that maybe he should stay as he is walking through the portal were probably my favorite art in this. (Also, Shigaraki telling him Kurogiri is his taxi, not Izuku's was great)
The song worked perfectly. Also, Nico Collins and now this song...you have the best music taste and I can't wait to see which one you pick next! The pacing of the song worked great for moving the story along and pushing the emotions.
