      You are right. Politically I absolutely loathe Farage and all he stands for-but Rachel is right, as a person you can’t help but like him-which in many ways is what makes him so dangerous politically. I adore Rachel, she is the perfect person to talk with him as she absolutely disarms him and gets him to talk without making him defensive. Shame she has such a twit for a brother.

    • @MauriatOttolink
      @MauriatOttolink 5 лет назад +12

      @@lilylolly8757
      Farage is equally disarming. Why do you find the same thing politically dangerous in someone whose views you oppose yet charming when you approve of them politically?
      Peers Corbyn ("Who? I hear you say!) is a World Leading Climate scientist who has (amongst many other REAL scientists) proved the Climate Project Fear to be a political hoax. He has also conclusively disproved the alleged man-made aspect of Climate Change.
      It's a shame that he's got a dangerous world class twit for a brother.
      Boris doesn't have a twit for a sister. That doesn't make him a Twit.
      If we didn't have to vote for our politicians but did a Dangerous Twit count amongst the parties
      we'd still have the same govt. in power. It wouldn't be a landslide but we'd be left in no doubt!

An interesting thing happened at one of the meetings, a famous and pretty powerful person, quietly made a racist remark to Nigel. Nigel's reaction was not to be diplomatic and ignore it, but to turn his back on the chap and ignore him thereafter. A very decent bloke, and I wish his fortunes turn around.

      If it helps, I feel like she does. I like what we had. So much to lose and nothing to gain. I don't want to be in a recession again or poorer, even if only for 5-10 years and that is inevitable if we leave the free-trading block and isolate ourselves. I simply don't see what we'd gain. 🤷‍♀️ We have sovereignty (it's an illusion that we don't) and control 99% of our budget. We also control immigration from outside the EU, whilst our economy needs immigration from within the EU - no UK govt would ever curb it. There are matters like air pollution, tax evasion, environmental management and crime that require international cooperation and what of poor Northern Ireland - are we to screw them over once again? The UK has benefited from EU legislation that protects citizen's rights and health. Unless I had pots of money I wanted to squirrel away in, I dunno, a unregulated, uncertain fiscal system I cannot see why we would want to leave.

    The EU is going to be crushed with unpayable debt. Italy's debt alone could bring the Euro crashing down. Either interest rates remain negative, as they are now, and the debt interest remains low or interest rates become positive again and banks can make money on loans again but the interest on outstanding debt becomes overwhelming. The EU can't grow as a result. it's boxed itself in. The UK is right to unhook itself from this and find new trade in the rest of the world.

      @@lewisistic ... I'm sorry, but I don't want to see Yannopolous anywhere. He has made disgusting remarks relative to pedophilia. He should be denied any public forum of any kind, for the rest of his life.
      That stated AOC with any number of people would be a 'must watch' event.

    • @lewisistic

      Frank Hoffman You do realise that there are children who were raped and when they were interviewed some of them liked it? I was totally shocked. It’s Milo’s experience. Would you say then the children normalised pedophilia? Nope they didn’t they were victims and so was Milo. Just because you don’t like someone’s opinions/views doesn’t mean they should be denied a product/service. The article about the children was one I had read three years ago which made me be skeptical about Milo’s controversy.

    • @frankhoffman3566

      @@lewisistic ... If I knew who you are, I would put you on the same list as Yannopolous. NAMBLA-style justifications for pedophilia disqualify anyone who speaks them. You don't take as gospel the opinions of traumatized kids.

    • @frankhoffman3566
      @frankhoffman3566 5 лет назад

      @ThePatUltra ...I admit to intolerance on anything pedophilia. I've seen too many adults who carry that trauma around with them DECADES AND DECADES into adulthood. I've heard enough pedophiles disgustingly claim they are doing the children a favor - which is, in essence, what Yannopolous claimed. I think he believes it and only apologized because his speaking gigs were drying up. I don't sense an ounce of honesty in him and believe he still has a predator's glance toward underage boys.
      I'm not apologizing. Give him not one minute of broadcast time. Let him get a job deburring plastic pipe fittings in a factory somewhere. I hope to never hear from him again.

    When I left school in 1957 it was possible to get a job on a Monday morning, leave it by 2pm on the same day and be in another job first thing on Tuesday morning. It was also possible to be in work for the entirety of your working life if that's what you wanted, and leave with the proverbial retirement clock at the end of it. The only black side in the UK's industry was the Unions who would go on strike for something as trivial as lifting a hammer when it wasn't your job to lift it. The phrases "all out brothers" and "down tools" were all too familiar to the blue collar working class. But nonetheless the UK was a great place to live and people got on well with each other as a rule. What has the EU ever done for us? They claim they brought peace in Europe, but hang on, wasn't that the job of the United Nations? Okay, they gave us cheap airline fares, but have you booked a holiday lately. Not exactly cheap is it? Too be honest, they have done bugger all except take our money and bring discontent right across Europe with their left wing ideology. They have grown fat on the work of millions of ordinary people who have been tied to the EU austerity programme for well over a decade. Countries have been overrun by swathes of immigrants coming from a culture that has no alignment with the Western world. And over population has had a negative affect on housing, education and health services all around Europe and the UK. It can't go on as it is. We need to get back to running our own affairs. We need to have a certainty that whoever we vote for can be challenged if they don't do the job properly as we are seeing now. It's time for a change. Let's run our own country again. For Pete's sake no more EU.

    I really enjoyed this. Very good chemistry between the two. You can see that Nigel is guarded about certain aspects of his life, despite the prodding from Rachel on personal issues. Rachel can be pushed off the Remain ledge eventually. She's no different than any other Remainer. They want to keep what they have, not understanding that what they have dwindles by the day as long as the UK remains in the EU.
