How she gonna break up with him over some -ish she didn’t even tell him? That makes no sense. I like their relationship. I just think she doesn’t get that someone you love (a real man at that) looks at your past, present, and future even beyond himself. Which was what her guy was doing. I get her not wanting the same kind of job. I have ADHD and work serval jobs myself but the difference is, I owe a business and work for myself and my retirement is already taken care of so I can do that. If I had no retirement. I would know it’s crazy to only work part time and not at the very least be saving retirement money.
That's why she doesn't want to get married and having kids. Because she wants to save money she got from part-time jobs. And I think that's okay as long as she's okay with her choice. I think the problem is in the guy, he can't accept her gf for who she is, and unintentionally wants her to be something she doesn't want; just like anyone else.

It's fine to think single/selfishly if you're single. Not if you’re tied to other people that you’re planning a future with. It’s not like the person is telling you your live of video games or classical music is stupid. That person can kick rocks. But if they are telling you, “I loveyou you and I’m concerned about your future because of xyz.” That has nothing to do with what they want and everything to do with you because only you can benefit from reconsidering that option. If a person asks you to change something that only benefits them, then you’re right. They are being controlling or don’t accept you. But if they are asking you to rethink something that will only benefit you to do them they truly love you and have your back.
